To Be Upset That My Alledged Best Friend Has Invited My Ex-H Over For Sups?

OhCallistoSolo · 01/11/2016 21:57

Looking for some perspective here as I really don't know if I'm being unreasonable or not.

I haven't been invited by my best friend for supper (or anything else for that matter) since January. My ex-h has been invited twice that I know of, and the other couple we all see have been regular visitors. My best friend, with and without her husband, has been for sups with me countless times. Every time she comes over she tells me that she must invite me round for sups. Am I being over-sensitive to feel really upset that my ex-h gets and invite when I don't?

OP posts:

The general rule is:

If you are a first time poster don't post on AIBU
If you are a first time poster don't use terms that have an ownership in a specific class bracket
If you are a troll do BOTH and sit back and enjoy 💥💥💥

TupsNSups · 02/11/2016 21:26

So the relentless attack on this poor woman continues

For arguments sake It would be nice if MNHQ could actually confirm if this was a troll, I am pretty sure she was, no posting history etc BUT surely if this was a GF troll post the whole thread would have been deleted?
At the same time though if it was a genuine nc poster wouldn't MNHQ delete it after the amount of piss taking going on if it was a genuine poster

MNHQ, If you are monitoring this thread can you please tell us?

Tupsn.....

Is that really your username !!!!

AlexaTwoAtT · 02/11/2016 21:33

Has the OP gone? It's strange not to come to your own defence.

TupsNSups · 02/11/2016 21:36

Is that really your username

Nope, I'm a figment of your imagination Hmm

ALLthedinosaurs · 02/11/2016 21:39

I'm from a sink estate, which I suppose explains why I have never heard of 'Sups'.

At least now I know what to call my 9pm bag of snack-a-jacks, eh?

CockacidalManiac · 02/11/2016 21:47

OP and follow up reads in my head as if spoken by Ping from Ed Reardon's Week

DrunkenMissOrderly · 02/11/2016 21:49

what a revolting read this thread is. Well done everyone, you must feel proud as punch.

bibbitybobbityyhat · 02/11/2016 21:50

I find it embarrassing to be on a forum with so many gullible types with no sense of humour . Can't think why I stay either.

stopfuckingshoutingatme · 02/11/2016 22:01

Why don't we all watch 12 years a slave (on now!) and get really miserble about mans inhumanity to man and let this thread lie

It's Aibu - and if op is around And for real Flowers - it's horrible when a thread turns to shit

Peace out

Allthewaves · 02/11/2016 22:14

After reading thread - why why why would you post in aibu looking for sympathy and advice - isn't it well known to be a nest of vipersGrin

AvaCrowder · 02/11/2016 23:39

Sort of off topic but sups to me is Stand Up Paddling. So we go SUPing.

But I think you should speak with your friend. If it was my best friend I'd be so shocked that she was hanging out with my ex, I'd have said something.

LittlePaintBox · 03/11/2016 09:39

sups to me is Stand Up Paddling

You can do Lie Down Paddling? Hmm

SpunkyMummy · 03/11/2016 10:01

little

Well, people usually sit down to paddle, like in a canoe.

LittlePaintBox · 03/11/2016 16:21

Well at the risk of starting another class war, to me paddling is something you do with your shoes and socks off in the sea!

SpunkyMummy · 03/11/2016 19:01

paint

Is it? ;) wouldn't that be swimming? Or maybe splashing around?

To me paddling is what you do when you're kayaking or canoeing. But DH and I both love water sports.... so maybe that's why Blush

AvaCrowder · 03/11/2016 19:04

I agree littlepaint that is paddling.

Stand up paddling is a different thing. It's really fun.

SpunkyMummy · 03/11/2016 20:19

crowder

But if splashing around is paddling...
Then what would you call the thing you do when you're in a canoe?

(Oh... this rhymes 😂)

AvaCrowder · 04/11/2016 06:28

You are right, of course. I think I would like to paddle a canoe.
