I am genuinely worried about these people dressing up as clowns and think something nasty might happen.

Is it just me?

Sadly not...

One of the newer reports is the park at the top of my road. That, of course, I frequently walk through alone. And my physical disabilities prevent me from running, but wouldn't stop me from trying to...

The hall where I do Brownies has a main entrance not well/easily visible from the hall proper & is down an alley at the side of the church. My Assistant Leader will be standing by the door during the period the Brownies are coming in tomorrow just in case we get any issues (we keep it locked during meetings anyway). If anyone was stupid enough to be around at pick-up time I REALLY wouldn't fancy their chances mind you...

Someone's going to get their head kicked in for menacing a child and if you've gone out of you way to terify and upset a child, then you've pro got what's coming to you.

An ex-colleague had been a copper and was policing the G8 protests in Edinburgh. A bloke had apparently dressed up as the killer in Scream and was deliberately upsetting a child and chasing them around. Sadly for the bloke in the scream mask the kid had a very hard dad who beat the shit out of him for menacing his son. My ex-colleague pretended not to see anything and walked away.

They are in my town now, trying to frighten children going to and from school. Even though my DC are easily able to walk, I am back to picking them up from school again. What a nuisance!

These idiots though don't seem to realise that whilst 99% of them might be immature, attention seeking young men with nothing better to do, they are liable to give someone a heart attack and they are providing perfect cover for that one person who does want to take it further.

I hope the police catch them and the courts give custodial sentences as a deterrent to the others.

DD is terrified and now theres 'the purge ' that 'the clowns ' are arranging the night before Halloween????
it does seem to be a friend of a friend who has always seen one but its unnerving all the same.

weveallkissedafrogor2 · 14/10/2016 13:44

ps .
Police stopped a group of young'uns from a local town who were out 'clown hunting' with a kitchen knife in their bag!!

Sweetdreamsaremadeofthis · 14/10/2016 13:59

weveallkissedafrogor2 havnt heard about this 'purge'. What is this all about?

Alibobbob · 14/10/2016 22:43

Is this starting to quieten down now? My 7 year old is terrified to even go upstairs on their own now.

Pedallleur · 16/10/2016 21:21

Fwit teenagers/men who have nothing to do but play computer games/w*nk/chat 5hit with their fwit friends so decide to be 'killer clowns'

MsAdorabelleDearheartVonLipwig · 16/10/2016 21:25

There's a story in our local news about two teenage girls being threatened by someone dressed as a clown. Apparently they were very shaken but ran away and were unhurt.

Can't help wondering why nobody else saw it though.

The purge is a movie franchise, which is about a future America where crime is unknown all year except for one night where citizens 'purge' themselves of their evil and propensity to crime without fear of punishment. The logic being that get it all over in one night everybody stays well behaved the rest of the time. Sadly you will have sad sacks that wish to make movies reality.

DS is still slightly worried about it and I admit I am too as there are definitely some idiots around our way who would see this as a 'fun' thing to do.
