Ocado Avoid
Placed an order with a Groupon discount voucher. Picked a delivery date. Day before delivery order gets cancelled. Delivery is Cancelled last minute 4 TIMES. Start complaining vehemently on twitter #Ocado and email to CEO. Customer Service manager finally calls admits delivery will be cancelled yet again so now 5 times. Agrees to goods for free (so relatively happy) Day before delivery manager phones to only offer 50Pct. And lies that previously he denied offering the goods for free. Told him to give shove the goods where the sun don't shine. Email again to CEO. Start twitter complaining. Ocado now threatening to block me on their twitter feed.

In a nutshell, the Groupon deal was ending on Thursday (I think) so someone who had purchased the code shared it on HotDeals.

Ocado then received hundreds of orders using this code.

Ocado cannot tell who has purchased the code and who hasn't and so has no choice but to void it and ask Groupon to reissue to those who have genuinely bought it.

Assuming you did actually purchase the code, your Ire should probably be directed at the person who posted it on a deals site:

Ocado simply can't honour hundreds of codes on the off chance they were purchased through genuine channels.
What this thread has shown is that their customer service team seemingly have the patience of saints and that the majority, me included, have nothing but good things to say about the company.

I love them. If there are any problems they sort them quickly and are quick to give vouchers without you even asking.

You come across like an absolute nut on Twitter & I would block you too if I was running that team. Assuming you aren't one of the scammyfucks trying to use a code they didn't buy for you should get sorted, not that you deserve it!

I LOVE Ocado but have had a few issues in the past. Once a delivery was cancelled but I'm pretty sure all or part of that order was refunded. On another occasion a part of my order was left behind at the warehouse, I was given some free chocolates for that one. And then not so long ago a driver claimed he had tried to deliver, but had not. I wasn't charged for the perishables BUT the delivery charge wasn't refunded. I couldn't be bothered to make a fuss over that one.

I can understand why you are so frustrated OP, but you really won't get much sympathy around here, as they are generally very good, and this sounds like a very specific case.

I don't have twitter so can't look Envy.
I've just pushed DH out the door to go hunt and gather , but am fully expecting that he will be beaten to the finishing line by Eric in the Aubergine van, who will turn up any second now, with a beautifully cooked full English and a box of Senior Catfood on a silver platter.
Not the same platter, separate ones obviously.

I can find something to complain about in practically any circumstance. it is a gift Grin

But I would have to defend to my last breath Ocado. We have never had a late or cancelled delivery - often I get a jaunty call to say "can we come early". Even on a Christmas delivery when I don't know how the driver made it through he did.

Any rare issue is sorted at warp speed by the CS team.

I heart Ocado. Their drivers, vans, CS and their efficiency.

I find them superbly efficient, especially their pet service (Fetch).

The pets simply must have their organic litter and food, and Ocado ensure it happens before heads roll (and the sofa is destroyed).

I've used Ocado I think for over 10 years. They cancelled an order once when there was some sort of major issue (flooding?) at a distribution centre. They've occasionally been late, and once by several hours (this was a pain, as I had just come back from hols, had jet lag and was desperate to get to bed, but they were not to know this!). Order is usually as expected, substitutions are few, eggs are occasionally broken but customer services issues refunds promptly. I think they are really excellent.

OP, a few posters have explained about the glitch with the Groupon deal and what to do next. Have you contacted Groupon to get your new code? or are you too busy complaining on Twitter

They cancelled ln me once when a van broke down then got caught in heavy traffic. Rearranged to suit me and gave me a discount on my next shop. We also great with rearranging a delivery when I went into labour! I suppose you are more likely to hear of bad experinces rather than good ones .

I've used Ocado once a week for 9 years. Never had a delivery cancelled. Once they were late, but were excellent in dealing with it: rang me to inform me and gave me 50% off my shopping. I love Ocado, find it amazingly convenient and they offer great service.
This sounds like a Groupon issue. Groupon always more trouble than it's worth, ime.

I have used Ocado once a week for 8 years and only had a late delivery 3 times.

I think they are brilliant.

Ocado is horrible.

They will not deliver to Canada no matter how nicely I ask. Even if I do have a Groupon code that I may or may not have actually paid for

Perhaps it is time to take to Twitter?

Another Ocado fan here.

Have used them for about four and a half years, have a Smart Pass, think they are the best grocery delivery company by far. Rarely get missing items, any issues are dealt with right away and never had a cancellation even in bad weather.

OP after seeing your obscene twitter rant I think you have a problem that isn't Ocado related ...
