Ocado Avoid
Placed an order with a Groupon discount voucher. Picked a delivery date. Day before delivery order gets cancelled. Delivery is Cancelled last minute 4 TIMES. Start complaining vehemently on twitter #Ocado and email to CEO. Customer Service manager finally calls admits delivery will be cancelled yet again so now 5 times. Agrees to goods for free (so relatively happy) Day before delivery manager phones to only offer 50Pct. And lies that previously he denied offering the goods for free. Told him to give shove the goods where the sun don't shine. Email again to CEO. Start twitter complaining. Ocado now threatening to block me on their twitter feed.

Top tip, OP
When you set up a twitter account ONLY to bitch at one company, and have no followers or followees, they aren't going to take the blindest bit of notice of your account

Been using Ocado for 8 years, never had an order cancelled, not even in the bad snow a few years back where some MNers didn't get their Christmas groceries (Morrisons, Asda, Tesco were not getting through)

I love Ocado. Never had a problem.

Ordered an Olaf board game for my DD this week. It was £19.99 and when it turned up it was a pile of shite. Not Ocado's fault, obviously, but lovely woman on the phone said, "ooh, how disappointing! I've refunded the money. Just hand it to your driver on your next delivery." Smile

Sounds very unusual, I've used them for 10yrs without any cause for complaint. Could it have been a problem with Groupon?

I used Ocado for years but a few weeks ago when I was at home waiting for a delivery they simply didn't turn up during the agreed time slot.

I got an email to say they tried to deliver (which they didn't), I called and they said their would ask the driver to turn back. Waited at home for another hour and they didn't turn up so I cancelled my order.

They sent an email advising that they would still charge me £53 worth of perishables from my order of £85.

It took another 30 minutes on the phone and on hold to customer services to agree that they would cancel my order and not charge me.

I thought it was appalling so I vowed never to use them again.

Another one here who's never had a problem with them that wasn't fixed within minutes of me bringing it to their attention. In fact on one occasion I was late to get home and they didn't charge me for my order or their waiting around, which they would have been within their rights to do.

I'm also not surprised they're threatening to block you (if they are - didn't see anything like that on Twitter) because quite frankly you sound a bit deranged.

Mumsnet's experience is that Ocado is pretty good and hot with their customer service. They'll be no doubt doing some social listening on this forum and be pleased to see that the vendetta you tried to create here is not working -at all. Your tweets are totally unhinged. Complaining when things go wrong is a good thing, just be a bit more balanced and courteous, you'll soon find out it works a lot better.

I'm concerned that this issue has sent you ricocheting off the scale. It's annoying and irritating granted, but your reaction is so over the top, that perhaps you need to take a step back, and chill for the sake of your health. Getting so stressed out over some groceries is not worth it.

Only ever had one cancelled order and that was because of severe flooding, they sent me a £25 voucher to apologise!

Best thing ever, either on time usually or a bit earlier. Pay their subscription and actually get even better deals and money off. Always have huge range of products and any issues (bread out of date that day) have been refunded. Offers beat anything other supermarkets locally have. Substitutions are always v reasonable and pointed out at delivery so you can reject them.

Your issue is with groupon not ocado. Am seeing v few issues with other posters too.

In addition your tweets are just ridiculous. Sorry

I agree that you sound like a disgruntled ex employee or someone with a hidden agenda and also
You are just a dollar commodity to them
What an odd thing to say if you're in Britain Confused

Have never used Ocado but after seeing all the lovely feedback about them on here from Mumsnetters I'm going to try using them for my next shop.

Actually can't stop laughing at the twitter feed! Bloody hell OP! Grin

If this is a reverse, it's absolute genius! I'm actually going to do my first Ocado shop based on the positive feedback on this thread!

I wouldn't bother shopping with them if they treated me like that. Looking through your twitter page it does look like a few people are not happy with Ocado. Ask Groupon for your money back.

I think OPs twitter feed is amazing for how few disgruntled customers she could find
One person moaning about where the van parks, someone moaning about their delivery being late, and that's about it. Out of millions of customers
And I bet OP has spent hours trawling through to find complaints to retweet

SirNiallDementia. Don't even think about trying Ocado for the first time without a discount voucher. Google, or ask an Ocado using friend, or if all else fails one of us will send you one.
The rule with supermarkets is to treat em mean and keep em keen.

Hulababy
The two posters, inc op, with negative issues - were you both using groupon, or dealing with them directly?

I dealt with them directly - don't even know what or who groupon is/are.

LondonNicki's experience sounds bloody awful too and she was a regular customer.

Wow, given your hate Ocado do much your desperately want your shopping from there don't you.

I love Ocado - hardly ever any missing items, on time, helpful drivers, brilliant customer service in my opinion. We started using them at least once a week earlier this year. Can't imagine not using them now.

You are a pain in the ass for some poor social media manager.

And I love how, on one the tweets you've RTed, someone is complaining their customer service line shuts at 11pm! Yeah, how inaccessible are THOSE hours, 7am to 11pm? What if I want to complain in the middle of the night?? Lol

Ocado are brilliant. I've used them for years and they have sorted any problems quickly and efficiently. When a box eggs had been squished and leaked all over a bag of shopping it was the driver who noticed and they refunded me straight away for everything in the bag.

Am I supposed to sympathise with some chancers who thought they could take advantage of a deal they hadn't paid for?

Slothlikesundays · 01/10/2016 02:38

Use them every week. Love them. Only been late once and the driver knocked money off for it.

Also having looked at your Twitter feed you look barking. Maybe you need a hobby to focus on instead?

I also have never had a problem with Ocado. I first used them via a groupon offer that I had paid for. So the groupon offers, if paid for, can be genuine and worthwhile.

I looked at the twitter feed - honestly, OP, do you think you're quite well?

Report

I love them, have only had one issue in 5 years and they gave me my shopping for free, it was a Christmas shop and over £300 as well! I think you have been really unlucky, and it's probably Groupon, as they are a bit rubbish.
