The bloody weather people.

Hottest day of September for 55 years they said. Wall to wall sunshine they said.

So DD went to school with no coat.

I put shorts on.

It's so dark here I have the lights on, it's pouring with rain and thundering.

Bastards.

Essex and it's 29.5 degrees. Too hot to work

Chihuahualala · 13/09/2016 15:46

Bucketing here all day (Wales) I even missed the very cool sounding thunderstorm this morning as I was getting my lashes done at the time

JaneJeffer · 13/09/2016 15:48

It's even hot and sunny here in the West of Ireland amazingly!

pistonpower · 13/09/2016 15:51

I am in Glasgow - it has rained and been overcast all day. I NEED to move!

WaxyBean · 13/09/2016 15:55

Unbearably hot in London - kids are in the paddling pool!

rainbowstardrops · 13/09/2016 15:56

Too hot for me in the south-east. I am so hoping Autumn weather arrives soon!

Badders123 · 13/09/2016 15:58

29 degrees here in east mids ☀️
It's like the very pit of hell 😈
On the plus side I got 3 loads of washing dry....

missyB1 · 13/09/2016 16:06

Thunder lightening and very heavy rain in Gloucestershire, this was not forecast at all! Honestly if weatherman were in any other job they would get the bloody sack!

kansasmum · 13/09/2016 16:10

In Devon here where it's pissed down all morning, thunder so loud my ( large) dog tried to hide under the table! It's very muggy so my hair looks delightful- a frizzy, Brillo pad!
It is warm but not hot not sunny and definitely not a sodding heatwave!Angry

Rozdeek · 13/09/2016 16:11

32c in London. 2 bed flat, no garden. It's vile. DS is 6 months and miserable. Would gladly swap with you OP!

I hate hot weather.

Isitjustmeorisiteveryoneelse · 13/09/2016 16:16

Ok I take it back. The day was obviously a slow developer, now properly boiling. Live not too far from Gravesend which has just been confirmed as the hottest place in GB at 34c. Unfortunately my poor DD at home in bed with a temp of 102. She is not happy.

toomuchtoolate · 13/09/2016 16:16

Somerset. Just stopped raining after a whole day off torrential downpours, thunder and lightning. Dog is still refusing to go outside even though it's stopped now. Was NOT forecast!

Justaboy · 13/09/2016 16:19

missyB1 If you knew just how difficult it s to forecast weather in the UK and what resources are needed I think you'd be amazed at how accurate they are for a lot of the time!

eightbluebirds · 13/09/2016 16:20

Beautiful in County Durham Grin

Inertia · 13/09/2016 16:28

Tipped it down all afternoon in Cheshire. No point getting the washing in, by the time I got downstairs it was raining so hard that it'd be impossible for the washing to get any wetter.

I'm Hampshire and we got it just after you OP massive big and heavy rain and it was really dark! Also wearing shorts!

Was nice again after though!

LurkingHusband · 13/09/2016 16:45

West Midlands - pissing down with little thundery grumbles ....

benbry · 13/09/2016 16:52

It's been a terrible summer in London if you don't like the heat. I'm totally sick of it. My Dyson fan has just about saved my sanity.

I WANT TO BE COLD.

Rozdeek · 13/09/2016 16:54

Same, ben :(

lk26 · 13/09/2016 16:56

Isles of Scilly here. Freezing. Very windy and wet. Sat under blankets on the sofa Angry

LurkingHusband · 13/09/2016 16:59

It's so dark our outside security light has come on ...

jobrum · 13/09/2016 17:00

I've been in bed with a migraine until about 1. Pulled back the curtains to see grey skys and it felt a bit cool. Briefly warmed up and now there's thunder, lightning, rain. BBC weather is still saying sunny. I sent dd to nusery in a light jacket and shorts. She might have to stay at nursery as I dont want to go out in this!

MiracletoCome · 13/09/2016 17:16

Lovely in the East Midlands, unfortunately I have been in a windowless office all day. Washing dried though.

PoisonWitch · 13/09/2016 19:27

Fuck off gert storm just hit for 5 epic minutes! Lightning every ten seconds. Thunder. Hammering it down with rain and massive hailstones that set car alarms off. Teenagers walking the dog in t shirts running away in terror.

Then it was over. The new fancy smart streetlights clicked off. The rain slowed to a drizzle.

I feel spent.
