The bloody weather people.

Hottest day of September for 55 years they said. Wall to wall sunshine they said.

So DD went to school with no coat.

I put shorts on.

It's so dark here I have the lights on, it's pouring with rain and thundering.

Bastards.

It's beautiful on the NE coast which is a good job as I have a LOT of washing as DD has a vomiting bug.

RhiWrites · 13/09/2016 12:20

I'm in Oxford and it's amazing here. Wall to wall sunshine.

UnicornMadeOfPinkGlitter · 13/09/2016 12:22

boiling in Berkshire! Wishing I had put an extra load on last night as would have been drying nicely while I am at work.

RhiWrites · 13/09/2016 12:25

... And as soon as I posted the sky has clouded over. What witchcraft is this?

Happyinthehazeofadrunkenhour · 13/09/2016 12:25

Flipping heck...Cardiff area is bloody awful, peeing down, thundering and lightening!

Isitjustmeorisiteveryoneelse · 13/09/2016 12:26

In SE, it's hot but definitely not as hot as was forecast, and not as hot as yesterday. Today is supposed to be 31 deg and hotter than Thailand (or whatever country the tabloids are currently using as the measure) it isn't.

PuppyMonkey · 13/09/2016 12:26

My thermometer says 26 degrees and there's not a cloud in the sky - Notts/Derbyshire border.

I noticed the forecasters started subtly changing their story this morning - saying "hottest September day for MOST places." Sneaky boggers.

FeedMyFaceWithJaffaCakes · 13/09/2016 12:26

Hot here!!!

AnnieOnnieMouse · 13/09/2016 12:28

Thunder, lightning, a bwrw hen wragedd a ffyn! (raining old women with sticks)

AnnieOnnieMouse · 13/09/2016 12:29

I'm in Gloucestershire

RhiWrites · 13/09/2016 12:31

... Too the washing in and the sun has one out, I'm beginning to see how this works.

ArmySal · 13/09/2016 12:31

Glorious here, got all the washing on the line.

onlyjustme · 13/09/2016 12:31

You don't need to drive to pick up DD...
You can walk and take the coat with you!

Mamadothehump · 13/09/2016 12:36

Glorious in East Anglia!! Strappy top, floaty skirt and air con on in my office. Unfortunately I'm not meant to be working today but I'm off tomorrow and there is talk of similar so not all bad!!

wornoutboots · 13/09/2016 12:45

I'm in the midlands, we normally get the weather about 4 -6 hours after my family and friends in South Wales get it.

Which probably means the storm should be hitting right around the time I have to collect my kid from school, dragging the younger two along.

(no dark clouds on the horizon yet though)

RB68 · 13/09/2016 12:46

27 degrees and v humid in midlands

Surrey and it's roasting. Which I'm sure makes a lot of you jealous but I'd happily swop. I'm almost 38 weeks pregnant and it's far too hot!!

kungfupannda · 13/09/2016 12:50

Somerset, and I'm considering putting the heating on.

Buscake · 13/09/2016 12:50

24° in Southampton now. Boiling burning sunshine this morning, but mostly sweaty, muggy cloudy with burning sun occasionally coming through now. Not nice! I managed to mow the grass just now, and didn't melt so nowhere near as boiling as I had been told it would be.

KinkyAfro · 13/09/2016 12:51

Salford Quays here and it's lovely, clouds are coming in a little but it's still 23, warm and breezy

ThomasRichard · 13/09/2016 12:51

Home Counties and sunny and warm.

elizadolittlechoc · 13/09/2016 12:52

Hampshire. Returned from a lovely 2 hour country walk, hung out 3, yes 3, loads of washing. Sun has just gone in and 3 bastard cats have retired from the garden onto our beds...

elizadolittlechoc · 13/09/2016 12:53

Im 40 miles from you bus cake. Its 22 here and muggy.

HappyAxolotl · 13/09/2016 12:57

Central London and the sun is cracking the flags. However I'm sitting under a flourescent light and an icy aircon vent, wearing a jumper and dreading the Tube home.
