The bloody weather people.

Hottest day of September for 55 years they said. Wall to wall sunshine they said.

So DD went to school with no coat.

I put shorts on.

It's so dark here I have the lights on, it's pouring with rain and thundering.

Bastards.

The storm is right over the top of us and has been for a while now, constant flashes of lightening and crashes of thunder. Not seen a storm like this for a long time!

I am trying to work out which one of you is quickest to get to? I can bring a mumsnet chicken!!

Hot and sunny in Berkshire. Soz luv x

Imnotaslimjim · 13/09/2016 11:41

I'm on the NW coast, it's fantastically warm but the weather is turning. We've just had a weather warning for downpours and thunder so looks like it's moving up the country.

ItchyFoot · 13/09/2016 11:42

That would be heaven! And I have two cat bastards so that shouldn't be a problem!

PinkSquash · 13/09/2016 11:43

I'm in the south west- along the coast from you OP and we had thunder and lightning here about an hour ago, it was gorgeous! Still not as gorgeous as the sunshine elsewhere in the UK.

Justaboy · 13/09/2016 11:43

Mycatsabastard Glad you like it, we had the mother of all storms over the east of England the other year that recorded 200 strikes a minute!

The radiating rings are the thunder it's usually accurate to within a few seconds;!

"I wish it was raining here.

Come to Glasgow, RJ. It's back to business as usual here i.e. cloudy and drizzly.

HairsprayBabe · 13/09/2016 11:53

Its no fun when you are paler than the moon or stuck in a stuffy office though! Sad

Aworldofmyown · 13/09/2016 11:58

Im sooo hot! Its not glorious sunshine though - just sticky and hot!

In Essex!

Bamaluz · 13/09/2016 12:01

I washed all the sofa covers on account of the so called heatwave!

Hung it on the line and had to run out and get it all back in again.

Thunderstorm. South Wales.

chibsortig · 13/09/2016 12:01

Lovely here in South Yorkshire though predicted to get stupidly hot :(

Trufflethewuffle · 13/09/2016 12:02

Somerset here, I can hear the thunder in the distance and the rain is pouring on one side of the house.

Looking out into the back garden I can see the clouds look as if they are parting and sun coming through again.

WetsTheFinger · 13/09/2016 12:03

It's vile in Northumberland. And by that I mean it's hot and sunny and muggy. Yuck, bring on Autumn!

jayho · 13/09/2016 12:05

Memoires · 13/09/2016 12:05

Theimpossiblegirl · 13/09/2016 12:12

Somerset here. I had to walk the dog in the rain. I assume Indian Summer= Tropical Monsoon.

SoupDragon · 13/09/2016 12:13

It's glorious here in S London.

I'm on my 3rd load of laundry - I know how to have fun in the sun!!

BitchQueen90 · 13/09/2016 12:14

I'm in the Midlands and it's a scorcher. I have friends in Devon who have thunderstorms. I think the southwest is getting the worst of it!

Lindy2 · 13/09/2016 12:16

Surrey is scorching!

MargotLovedTom · 13/09/2016 12:19

Feeling hot, hot, hot in the grim old North Wink.
