The bloody weather people.

Hottest day of September for 55 years they said. Wall to wall sunshine they said.

So DD went to school with no coat.

I put shorts on.

It's so dark here I have the lights on, it's pouring with rain and thundering.

Bastards.

Boiling here. Tres jel OP as I love it when it's stormy and proper hammering it down. I open the front door and stand there with a cuppa watching the water run down the street and getting dirty looks from the poor sods outside.

Mycatsabastard · 13/09/2016 13:04

The sky is now BLUE!

The sun is out and I'm going to get changed back into my shorts.

Oh the joy of sunshine.

Still can't do washing and hang it out as no washing machine but hey ho, the sun is out again :)

The weather station for us is only a mile away....and they always seem to get it wrong. I don think there is any other job you could and get it wrong so much and still keep your job

weegiemum · 13/09/2016 13:15

Its grey and muggy in Glasgow.
Still, at least its not raining for now

PurplePidjin · 13/09/2016 13:17

It came down in stair rods at preschool pick up time so I sent dh for about 15 minutes. It's now blowing the clouds away, and drying the nappies on the line, nicely. I'm on the Easterly border Wink

wornoutboots · 13/09/2016 13:25

... and an hour later it's peeing down.
Hope my kid isn't doing forest school right now!

tinyterrors · 13/09/2016 13:35

It's scorching in Yorkshire and supposed to be similar tomorrow and Thursday. It's horrible having to do the school run though, getting all hot and sticky and want nothing more than a cool shower.

I'd love a really good thunderstorm. Weather like this gives me migraines which only clear properly when the weather breaks.

tibbawyrots · 13/09/2016 13:39

It's too hot to be outside for very long today (East Midlands) absolutely glorious. 🌞

WordGetsAround · 13/09/2016 13:41

Could be worse - I've washed the DC's duvets and pillows and then just as they were getting drier, it pissed it down.

PinkSquash · 13/09/2016 13:46

I'm in Devon and we've just had more thunder out to sea, it's coming back, as long as it doesn't rain while I'm out, I'm happy Hmm

frostyfingers · 13/09/2016 13:51

Herefordshire here and we've just had the most monumental thunderstorm for about 30 mins, now it's just pouring with rain and dark. I have to walk the dogs soon so hoping it moves on and bothers someone else!

PoloStar · 13/09/2016 14:11

In Shropshire - massive rolling thunder about an hour ago and then the heavens opened. Still raining vertical stair rods, and some thunder hanging about, but not so much.

It's just started raining half an hour north of me, so storm must be moving slowly.

SistersOfPercy · 13/09/2016 14:30

Really hot here in staffs, but it's gone a funny colour now so I suspect polo's thunder might be headed this way.
I've also got a stinker of a headache which often weirdly denotes a storm.

Klchi · 13/09/2016 14:35

In Worcestershire and it's pissing it down. Sad

wornoutboots · 13/09/2016 14:37

just clearing up now (I think), Klchi

londonrach · 13/09/2016 14:38

Vvvvvv hot and humid here...

DPotter · 13/09/2016 14:38

29 degrees on my car temp gauge about hr ago. I feel over dressed!

AngelsWithSilverWings · 13/09/2016 14:44

Sunny and incredibly hot here in Essex. Spent two hours on the beach this morning after doing the school run.I'm going to miss this summer when it finally ends.

Buscake · 13/09/2016 14:46

Rain has arrived here now ☔️☹️

spiderlight · 13/09/2016 15:01

Same here - DS has gone to school in a polo shirt and shorts, no jacket, covered in suncream. I'll have to take a jacket round for him at hometime. He will not be impressed.

ThymeLord · 13/09/2016 15:05

Lancashire here. It's been scorchio all day but it's gone as black as night now so I think we're in for thunder.

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 13/09/2016 15:08

Stinking hot here - thermometer outside the kitchen window says 29.2, and the sun hasn't been anywhere near it for ages.

Those of you with rain and thunder, please send some up here! (SW London).
I used to live in much hotter temps than this, but unless I've got the sea to fall into I really don't like it this hot any more.

CalmItKermitt · 13/09/2016 15:09

It's roasting here. I was standing in the middle of a field for 2 hours mid morning and thought I was going to pass out.

Wafflenose · 13/09/2016 15:11

Hot? I'm in the south west and we've had nothing but thunder, lightning and torrential rain. It's not even very warm.

Lorelei76 · 13/09/2016 15:20

NE London, sunny, boiling but very muggy.
