Hillary Clinton Medical Issue at 9/11 memorial

To think that overheating does not mean she is in anyway unhealthy or unfit. New York can be very warm this time of year and it's only early September.

So many on Twitter questioning her health and whether that makes her good enough to be president. Tbh I would choose a brain dead Clinton over trump anyday. Good she's expected to be president not an Olympic athlete.

OP posts:

No, it's not conceivable. She's had coughing fits for months and access to elite medical care. They would not miss pneumonia. And if they didn't miss it, and have only just revealed it, then there's been a lie somewhere.

its been summer, peak allergies and pollen time. they might not have tested for anything prior.

WinchesterWoman · 11/09/2016 23:42

I think mighty efforts are being made on this thread to try to make this make sense.

She didn't start coughing in the summer.

GreatFuckability · 12/09/2016 00:02

i'm not trying to make things anything. I dont pay enough to her health to know when she started coughing. i'm just musing/asking questions. I dont actually think it makes a blind bit of difference to her ability to do the job.

WinchesterWoman · 12/09/2016 00:17

Sorry I thought you were interested in her health because you were posting. Ok well she's been coughing really really badly, enough to be noticed, for at least a year. So for pneumonia to just be diagnosed on Friday shows that either her doctors must be chronically bad at their job, or that the cough is something different to the pneumonia. Whether it makes a difference to her job? Well chronic coughing can result from swelling difficulties with possible causes being stroke or traumatic brain injury. Since it's known that HC had a traumatic brain injury, a connection is being made. Even her aides have spoken of her (not this year) as being 'often confused', and since there seems to be either a shutdown of information on this, or presentation of unlikely information, I think there is good reason to voters to fear that she might struggle - and to ask for more detail to reassure people that she won't struggle. I believe this desire for relevant information is what drove the media and Democrats to push the interest around McCain's health when he was running.

WinchesterWoman · 12/09/2016 00:18

swelling - I should have said swallowing difficulties not swelling

RonaldMcDonald · 12/09/2016 00:23

This is a grim thread.

If she is unwell and yet still wanted to honour those who died in 9/11 and their families then she sounds utterly ideal as a President to me.

If she has an undisclosed disability I can understand that as I feel that she should be afforded the rights of others to be treated equally when applying for a role. If she disclosed it she would be clearly discriminated against.

We must try harder to show compassion to others. We must see that health issues and disabilities make us no less able.

What would they have said if she hadn't attended the service?

RonaldMcDonald · 12/09/2016 00:34

Winchester

I thought she had a gastro bug and fainted as a result and was concussed which later led to the discovery of the CVTS which was treated.
She was confused post the concussion.
There is nothing weird about that

She has had allergies and like many has a cough from the drip. This time she blamed allergies and upped her anti histamine dose when the real problem turned out to be pneumonia.
There is nothing weird about this.
She tried to push through to honour 9/11 and it backfired as she was exhausted, overheated and fainted.

A health conspiracy sounds better.......

perfumedlife · 12/09/2016 00:39

"This is a grim thread"? I mean, what the fuck? What the fuck is grim about questioning the leader of the most powerful country in the world??

WinchesterWoman · 12/09/2016 00:44

Why conspiracy?

Bill Clinton has talked about how long it took Hillary to recovery from the concussion. 'A terrible concussion that required six months of very serious work to get over," he said.

CVT can result in serious neurological problems. It doesn't always, but it can. If you had a CVT, and then seemed to display some of the symptoms of damage therefrom, then you would go to a doctor, and the doctor most definitely would not say 'I'm sorry but the idea that they're connected is simply a conspiracy you've concocted'. It can't be dismissed as conspiracy theory. Occam's Razor forbids it.

In fact this is what raises my antennae more than anything, a bit like Watergate I guess. It's the coverup that makes one suspicious.

The jigsaw of evidence suggests she's sick. It may not be in a way that damages her eligibility. But the shutdown of information, followed by the unlikely suggestions of pollen, overheating and pneumonia, makes me think it could be.

I'm in the 'stuffed corpse is better than Trump' camp. Wasn't Nancy basically making most of Reagan's decisions for him during his second term, in consultation with her astrologer? At least Bill would have an idea of how to keep the show on the road.

perfumedlife · 12/09/2016 00:59

No Basically if you vote for a dummy, you get an arse. I despaire with how you poeple view the election of the most powerful country in the world.

MuseumOfCurry · 12/09/2016 01:02

Yes, let's treat her like we would anyone 'applying' for a job at Tesco.

GreatFuckability · 12/09/2016 01:09

The CVT was 4 years ago. the vast majority of people who have one recover with at the very most mild lasting damage.

TheMagicFarawaySleep · 12/09/2016 01:21

perfumedlife - your comment about Anyfucker was out of line.

Anyfucker is able to spot misogyny, which is completely different from seeing other women as beyond criticism.

Do you suggest that a woman should not defend another when it is appropriate? Because that would be all kinds of fucked up. And a pretty thick suggestion.

UltimateFrisbee · 12/09/2016 01:23

I am a bit of a fainter and I look like I am having a seizure when I do. I think it's 'cause I am fighting it and trying to regain control. Scared the crap out of my DH when he saw it - he called an ambulance and I had neurological tests and everything. Definitely looks like a seizure when I faint. Definitely isn't one.

perfumedlife · 12/09/2016 01:38

*TheMagicFarawaySleep" I have nowhere suggested that a woman should not defend another where appropriate. No idea why you think I did but that;s by the by. Hillary Clinton is not above criticism and that;s a fact. She is a liar. A very confident liar.

MuseumOfCurry · 12/09/2016 01:43

perfumedlife - you have to be a misogynist to question Hillary Clinton, and if you question Clinton it means you love Trump. Kindly submit to the binary arrangement ASAP. Thanks.

Feminazi · 12/09/2016 01:44

Her staff seemed ready for her collapse, as if it was regular.

perfumedlife · 12/09/2016 01:47

Well quite MuseumOfCurry! God forbid any woman questions a female? I mean really! She is the worsst fucking liar in the western world but oh, she is a Gurll. Inverse sexism if ever I lived it.

derxa · 12/09/2016 01:48

Hillary Clinton is not above criticism She has no God given right to be President just because she is a woman. There are many examples of very good female political leaders in this country. They seem a lot more trustworthy than Hillary Clinton.

perfumedlife · 12/09/2016 01:54

Amen to that derxa but we are derided at Trump fans if we dont wow Hillary. How the world has dummed down.

Perfumedlife - it's "dumbed down" by the way. Grin

MangosteenSoda · 12/09/2016 02:08

Being poorly on any given day doesn't make someone chronically unwell, even if it turns out that she currently has a nasty case of pneumonia.

While I certainly hope Hillary recovers and remains healthy, it wouldn't alter my vote (if I had one) even if I thought she'd peg off days after taking office as then Tim Kasich (sp?) could take over.

There must be about 318 million more Americans better suited for office than Trump, so given the choice available even a comatose Clinton inspire more confidence.
