In our case its a pack of toilet rolls. Don't ask me why but we always take some with us whenever we are going away, even just for a weekend. No history of ever running out of them anywhere but just can't leave home without a back up supply Smile

NoCapes · 28/07/2016 13:49

Anti-histamines

FeelingSmurfy · 28/07/2016 13:49

Other than the normal medication, clothes etc it's an extension lead so that we can plug multiple things in at once because hotel rooms never have enough plug sockets

BeachysSandyFlipFlops · 28/07/2016 13:50

Vicks vapour rub..... Always gets used.

dementedpixie · 28/07/2016 13:50

Agree with extension cables - we took 2 last time. Baby wipes and packs of hankies are also useful.

ShatnersBassoon · 28/07/2016 13:51

Ear plugs and a pack of cards.

NoCapes · 28/07/2016 13:51

Oh and talc, for sand removal

KC225 · 28/07/2016 14:18

Dental floss. Have used it to tie a bust case, an emergency washing line, to mend a broken shower curtain, to sew a broken ground sheet up, as shoe laces. And when backpacking and staying in budget hostels I have used it as extra security on the door. Oh yes, have also used it as dental floss.

LagunaBubbles · 28/07/2016 14:21

Corkscrew, just in case there isn't one!

nailslikeknives · 28/07/2016 14:27

Agree with earplugs, you never know if you're going to be put next to a stairwell or lift - or incessant seagulls etc etc

whattodowiththepoo · 28/07/2016 14:28

Spare phone charger and power pack.
Always on me just in case.

ineedwine99 · 28/07/2016 14:29

In reality, the only thing we ever seem to not pack is the kitchen sinkWink We don't travel light!

Biffsboys · 28/07/2016 14:34

My kids (unfortunately) lol GrinGrin

Ifailed · 28/07/2016 14:36

A return ticket.

HereIAm20 · 28/07/2016 14:38

Tickets
Passport
Money
Credit card

We do pack other stuff but our main philosophy is if we have the top 4 we can get anything else we have forgotten when we get there!

Brightnorthernlights · 28/07/2016 14:39

My kindle.

(And a large bottle of calpol as second choice).

motheroftwoboys · 28/07/2016 14:39

Wet wipes and anti bac hand gel for travelling. Coat hangers - there are NEVER enough. Good instant and fresh coffee, rubber gloves, sharp knife and a garlic press if we are renting. Holiday diary.

Brightnorthernlights · 28/07/2016 14:40

Off topic slightly.....how would dental floss tie a bust case together ??

acasualobserver · 28/07/2016 14:41

The OP asked for one thing. Anyone who has put more than one, please leave the thread.

Shakirawannabe · 28/07/2016 14:41

Windeze Blush

Tweezers
