Is it me or has there been a lot less activity on MN recently?

It could be me...but it seems there's less new threads happening...anyone else noticed this? It's probably been in the past month or maybe two that I've noticed.

Oh it's not that bad. I've seen worse! Grin

I didn't say it was the Remainers' fault exactly? Just that's how it always goes and it gets fucking wearing.

Anyway, cheers all.

I have to admit that I quite like the word 'crosspatch', and I don't think it's used nearly enough. Grin

... and another thread bites the dust.

We need a fingers in ears la la la la la emoticon for every time the B word appears in a thread Grin

So many angry and sensitive people on here. People in real life seem much more chilled... Maybe it's because they're getting their frustrations out on here Grin

It's true, there is far less handwringing about Brexit in real life than there is on here. Maybe a bit on social media on the Friday and Saturday, and as a Remainer I was complicit, but then life went on and people started posting about the football, Corbyn, Game of Thrones and whatnot. However, I think it's important to bear in mind that for some people, Brexit is genuinely unnerving and maybe it's easier to vent on here than at work or wherever.

I meant about everything but yes particularly about brexit! Very true that on here is probably safer to say certain things. I've heard of some people losing friendships over it.

This thread, and all the last two pages of posts, are exactly why people are avoiding MN right now.

I hardly come on here because I just find it all so 2005...time has moved on. There are more ways to connect with people now by using other forms of social media. When I do come on here the page usually crashes anyway due to all the advertisements trying to load. I also don't have time for all the sad keyboard warriors who get a thrill out of being twats online but wouldn't dare do it in real life.
