OK I'm sorry if I'm putting people off their breakfast. But I have never bothered much with doing anything about my hair 'down there'. I am not a hairy person so it's not like it's hugely overgrown(!). But all I really do is shave my bikini line, like once a year if I'm going on holiday (I don't wear a high-cut swimsuit). Seriously, what else do other people do? I'm worried now that I look like I'm smuggling a ferret down there whenever I go swimming. Should I be trimming it on a regular basis?

Is anyone else old enough to remember Diana Spencer talking about "keeping herself tidy"? Meaning staying a virgin so she could marry Prince Charles one day........
It's one of the things that made me the feminist I am today.

Not really relevant. Sorry.
Yes I find the "tidy up" thing truly awful. Women need to tame and control themselves to be acceptable.

I find it really offensive to say 'as long as she keeps it tidy' That comment has made me feel quite sick!

LogicalThinking · 08/06/2016 23:01

I don't find it offensive, I expect my DH to keep himself tidy - clean shaven, hair tidy, no nose or ear hair. I quite like tidy pubes too.
There is no consequence if he doesn't - it's not an expectation that I have presented to him, it's the standard that he decided for himself.
Having said that, he would never try to give me oral sex if he hadn't shaved his face as he knows I don't like how it feels.

If it is something that one partner is imposing on the other, then I see the issue, but if it's something that the person has set for themselves that the other person appreciates, then there is no problem.

Well I like to keep it tidy... I'd dread to think what my nutbag would be like with grey pubes It would look like an old sack in a snowfield.
