Louchlady I very much doubt the op thought for a minute this would happen. Its actually made me decide never to start a post on Mumsnet again and to really think before I post comments. I know the Bride will know who she is but the world doesn't and it will be old news soon enough.

I've had some real doozey stories that i knew would really take off on here, tick all the boxes. I've not posted them because they are too identifyable and i don't want to be responsible for any real bad fall out for those involved - whether they acted outrageously or not.

I too totally agree with Louchelady's point - shitty journalism and a culture in which this kind of a 'story' counts as news.

I don't think that Puzzled WBU to ask her original question and I don't think the replies were in any way unreasonable either - the way these trivial personal storms in teacups can become 'news' is just a horrible reflection of our superficial vacuous times. There is rather a lot more important stuff going on in the world
