I'm being totally U and preparing to be flamed but does anyone else find this guy really annoying?

6 months in Space (yawn) and today running the marathon on a treadmill. Bore off.

You know, actually being social, enjoying people's company and not fucking off to space for 6 months is fulfilling enough for me.

Tax payers paid it. You and me. Our taxes funded his ego trip to space when they could have been spent on schools and hospitals and war veterans. And his ego trip was the only reason the mission happened.

My school is one which was chosen to plant rocket seeds which have been in space and rocket seeds which haven't and compare how they grow. We are all really excited about this! We've been following Tim Peake and videos he transmits for children to see and base work around.

I think it is great that we have someone from GB who is in space and inspiring youngsters to think big.

You sound incredibly shallow, what unusual and interesting things have you done to inspire children and adults around the world?

His iss trip is very interesting but you just know he was the kid at school who was top of everything, won every race at sports day, captained every team ever, was head boy and did lots of worthy extra curricular things. AND... he gets better more reception from frigging space than I get in my living room with a mobile mast just down the road!!

It is pissing me off how they are Kardashianifying what is actually serious space exploration stuff

I expect he'll be twerking up there to entertain the masses next

It is trivialising his mission. Keep it to the facts which are interesting enough instead of lowering the coverage to Britain's Got Talent levels of engagement

How can he be annoying you though? If you aren't interested in him, just ignore any mention of him. He's hardly calling you daily from orbit, is he?

People aren't interested in mundane space trips and things like space programs need public interest to maintain funding.

Look what happened to the Apollo program once they'd been to the moon a couple of times, people stopped caring.

They need people like Tim to keep reminding us that this stuff is going on and is worthwhile.

Whenever I hear his name the Twin Peaks theme tune runs through my head..grateful for that..I did love that song..

We LOVE Tim Peake. He has really inspired DD and I think he's a really good role model for young people.

I like that he seems to be a good sport and has got really involved with CBeebies etc. Miss Mouse even visited him which DD thought was brilliant!

My dad doesn't like him because he 'smiles too much'.
