Aibu to think there's always one?

Constructive criticism, great, advice, brilliant, strong opinions, also great for getting a new perspective on situations.... But, goady fuckers, a different kettle of fish entirely, example...

Op - DD's rabbit died last week, she's very sad.

I'm not sure whether to get another rabbit when she's ready or perhaps a Guinea pig instead?

Goader - It sounds to me like you're not particularly good at looking after animals. In fact I'd say you probably shouldn't be allowed to have pets. I feel sorry for your DD.

When people completely mis read a post and get shitty about it, is that goady fuckery?
I'm still quite new so I need some clarification. I got a GF on my first ever thread and I was actually quite chuffed.

GibbousHologram · 21/03/2016 22:34

MrTiddlestheFatCat · 21/03/2016 22:37

I'm quite frankly SICKENED that you posted this. SICKENED.

katemiddletonsothermum · 21/03/2016 22:38

Four. It was four. You are DBU and have derailed this thread to make it all about you.

Pancakeflipper · 21/03/2016 22:38

What star sign was the rabbit?
Did you get one compatible with your DD?

If you didn't then you've only got yourself to blame...

I can't believe you're considering getting another pet when a quick advance search shows that you have 6 children and major debts ConfusedHmm

Sunnybitch · 21/03/2016 22:42

See that's the problem with kids these days....one glass of lambrini and they think the're hard as nails Grin

ilovesooty · 21/03/2016 22:42

Grin

elephantoverthehill · 21/03/2016 22:44

Would it help your DD if the rabbit was taken to a taxidermist? It could be put on your mantlepiece.

Sunnybitch · 21/03/2016 22:45

And breath Alasa

LurcioAgain · 21/03/2016 22:45

I came to the conclusion, after what I now think of as "underpantsgate", that they just can't help themselves. (I started an innocuous thread on comfy pants for my 7 year old, various people pitched in with helpful suggestions, then GF arrived to announce that clearly the only reason DS could possibly find his existing underpants uncomfortable was that I was thick as mince and buying the wrong size... Grin )

TheSinkingFeeling · 21/03/2016 22:45

I think your username REEKS of cultural appropriation

Phalenopsisgirl · 21/03/2016 22:46

And don't you find one can seed a whole movement of goadyness? Like one stupid opinionated poster seems to encourage others to agree with the nonsense they are spouting, often then this leads to entire scenarios being invented by people that have no correlation with what the op has actually written.

BertrandRussell · 21/03/2016 22:47

How dare you even think about only getting one guinea pig..........

ample · 21/03/2016 22:48

I picture the posters as yellow-bellied cowards in rl. The type who struggle to make eye contact, have a nervous eye twitch and shuffle a lot.
With these insecure weak folk, I just ignore and read on.
Oh and they live with mum Grin

No elephantoverthehill They should have sauteed it in a nice cream and tarragon sauce and then eaten it. Then, when they pooed the rabbit out, they should have saved the poo, dried it, ground it up into coffee and drunk it. It's the circle of life and YADBU if you don't teach your children these things.
