But again, the lack of a credible opposition is no reason to dislike the SNP. It's not their fault that Labour imploded. And I don't remember this anxiety over a one-party state in the decades when a monkey in a red rosette could get elected in most Scottish constituencies.
I don't understand the objection to politicians voting with their party either. In the Scottish Parliament the SNP have a very small majority. Governments with small majorities get very few rebels because the consequences are more drastic. In Westminster they are the only proper representatives for Scotland and choose to present a united face. I don't see what's wrong with that?
I actually want MSPs to vote with their party, because then I wouldn't have an MSP who voted against my right to be married to the person I love.
