I think we're due a name change. Just looked at Relationships and 3 out of the 4 top threads are by men.

OP posts:

There is a dadsnet but i think mumsnet is obviously the original so more people will come here. Maybe rather than a name change something to say that men are welcome too in the heading.

UnderTheGreenwoodTree · 08/03/2016 19:01

Women! We can't possibly look after the children unless we are equally represented on MN! Sort it out, will ya. And while you're at it, sort out getting more male primary teachers. Lots of love, the Men. x

No, it gives a flavour of the type of response that people get when they imply women can't expect equality and a a website called "Mumsnet".

Seeyounearertime · 08/03/2016 19:16

Definetly gives a flavour of the type of unpleasant response SAHDs get when they turn up at women's toddler groups.

I have never experienced this.

Stratter5 · 08/03/2016 19:22

So 'By parents, for parents' isn't clear enough for the menz?

UnderTheGreenwoodTree · 08/03/2016 19:28

I bet Netmums never gets this shit Grin

Sparklingbrook · 08/03/2016 19:29

Do NetMums not have a NetDads? Grin

Stratter5 · 08/03/2016 19:34

The sparkle and tickers keep them out the same way a ring of salt keeps our demons.

This thread is a fantastic example of why it's so lovely to have a place where women's voices are not in the minority.

So often online it's loads VOD type posters telling us vociferously why all our problems are our own fault and how women are just so awful to the poor men.

Mumsnet is such a lovely voice of reason

Sparklingbrook · 08/03/2016 19:37

I have had a bit of a look on NetMums, but I can't find a NetDads. They even have a section called just 'Woman'. Shock

OhShutUpThomas · 08/03/2016 19:40

How do those brazen harpies get away with it Sparkling? Shock

Don't they realise we'd have equality if only they'd let the menz play??

Stratter5 · 08/03/2016 19:40

'Woman'

So what's it for?

Sparklingbrook · 08/03/2016 19:42

Apparently this-

Woman
Discuss everything to do with being YOU - the woman behind the mum here. Why not upload a photo of a haircut you fancy or a new top you've spotted and see what the Netmums think? From hair, beauty and fashion to health, happiness, sex and relationships we've got it covered.

About what you'd expect Sparkling Grin

Sparklingbrook · 08/03/2016 19:46

I am going to go out tomorrow and buy a smashing new blouse, register with NetMums and run it past them. Smile

Seeyounearertime · 08/03/2016 19:49

Can i say what a smashing blouse you have on Sparkling?

(and then i will admit to being a Rik Mayall fan and see if anyone gets the reference Grin)

Sparklingbrook · 08/03/2016 19:50

Thanks for remembering Seeyou. It still makes me sad. Sad

Seeyounearertime · 08/03/2016 19:52

The world seems just a little bit more shit without Riks Bottom :( oh well.
