I've been thinking about it lately and don't know why. I don't think its jealousy. maybe its because she is getting away with it, and has had unbelievable luck in life with the "singing" and "designing" She is probably nice enough in RL but her pouting and posing just grate.

I don't like her either. Based of course on her public persona. She comes over as spoilt, petulant and grabby for money. If that's totally wrong then she needs a new PR person.

Assume this thread will be deleted soon HQ?

TheoriginalLEM · 01/11/2015 13:27

She doesn't care - neither do we

Mintyy · 01/11/2015 13:28

Re. Victoria Beckham - I can't bring myself to like anyone as greedy as the Beckhams. So, yes, they do rub me up the wrong way and it certainly isn't anything to do with envy.

howtorebuild · 01/11/2015 13:28

What about the rights of the Beckham children?

SummerNights1986 · 01/11/2015 13:29

She completely grates on me.

Everytime I see her touting that baby on her hip in a pair of 5 inch bloody stiletto's it makes me Hmm

I can't remember ever seeing any footage or pictures of her actually interacting with her young kids - just parading them from A to B like miniature fashion accessories.

WanderingTrolley1 · 01/11/2015 13:31

Yabu.

There's never any whiff of scandal about her. She appears to adore her husband, kids and family life.

I like her.

Maybe, you know, she interacts with them when you don't see herSmile in the paper.

howtorebuild · 01/11/2015 13:32

Don't you remember Max Clifford kept his clients scandal out of the press?

squoosh · 01/11/2015 13:33

I've no reason to doubt she's an involved and loving parent but it's the unnecessary exposure of her kids to the media since their birth that I think was unwise.

AnnaMarlowe · 01/11/2015 13:34

She never smiles in public

And do we denigrate men for this? No - we don't.

It's only women who are expected to smile all the time. "Cheer up love it might never happen"

Victoria Beckham is as entitled to keep a straight face in public as anyone else.

I don't spend my life grinning just in case some stranger wants to take a picture of me - why should she?

squoosh · 01/11/2015 13:35

Well Jose Mourinho gets a fair bit of stick for being a smile free zone.

howtorebuild · 01/11/2015 13:36

unicef.org.uk/UNICEFs-Work/UN-Convention/

Odd ambassadors, when they show no respect for the rights of their four children to a private family life for sixteen years.

StepAwayFromTheEcclesCakes · 01/11/2015 13:37

"I don't know why he stays married to her". when he could have meeeee

southeastdweller · 01/11/2015 13:38

I agree with others about her and David pushing the kids publicly that makes me feel uncomfortable, in particular I'm thinking about Romeo and the Burberry deal and I wonder if her or her people are now behind all this current Brooklyn stuff. It's the greed and obsession with growing her/their brand that doesn't sit well with me at all.

Ham69 · 01/11/2015 13:38

What Back said Grin

Shakey15000 · 01/11/2015 13:39

What's being a marionette got to do with what she's achieved? Are you saying you disbelieve? That she wasn't part of an internationally famous band? Or that she hasn't achieved success as a designer?

StrawberryTeaLeaf · 01/11/2015 13:46

When a WOMAN pushes for professional and financial success, men say that she is unfeminine, a ball-breaker, a slut, a cunt.

Huh?

Has any of that been said about VB? Who by?

The worst observations that I've heard from people of either gender are that a) she's made the most of minor talent and sometimes b) that she's too thin.

It seems to me that there is some truth in a) and b) is just the kind of generic unkind personal remark that all slebs get subjected to.

stardusty5 · 01/11/2015 13:46

I like her and her family. Baffled by the comments about pimping out the children. They don't seem to be thrust into the spotlight at all, though they are going to be public figures whether they like it or not.

As far as I can see, she is very successful with her fashion brand and works hard.

Maybe she just doesn't like her smile in photos.

NotTheSpiceOfLife · 01/11/2015 13:49

I've never heard a bad word about her from anyone that's ever met her or spent any time with her Confused

howtorebuild · 01/11/2015 13:50

How many front row seats in the Beckham fashion shows, have you seen the Beckham children sit in?
