to expect a text after we slept together?

BigOCupOfTea · 25/10/2015 13:43

So I've been seeing a guy for around a month and we had our fifth date and I stayed at his and we slept together.

We both left early as he had work.

He would have finished work by now and I've heard nothing from him.

Am I expecting too much?

Axekick · 25/10/2015 18:37

Ah come on op after all this you have to tell us what he said, not exactly but was it good or bad?

sharonthewaspandthewineywall · 25/10/2015 18:38

FGS woman will you please stop teasing- what did he say?

sofato5miles · 25/10/2015 18:38

They're busy having text sex.

LineyReborn · 25/10/2015 18:40

Kofi Annan gives his blessing.

BillyDaveysDaughter · 25/10/2015 18:40

I have read the entire thread, laughed my bollocks off at the UN poll and the vote rigging and even more at the people taking some ofthe flippant comments so literally - and now I'm dying to know what the text said?

Roussette · 25/10/2015 18:42

And me. Has he set out his manifesto or did he do that last night? Grin

LineyReborn · 25/10/2015 18:42

I honestly hope it was a nice text.

CheersMedea · 25/10/2015 18:44

Don't you mean Ban Ki-Moon?

So we've been seeing a guy for around a month texting on MN for about 2 hours and we had our fifth date 328th post and I stayed at his and we slept together. about the OPs lack of text.

OP says she's had a text
We've heard nothing from her as to what it said

Are we expecting too much?

pinotblush · 25/10/2015 18:45

Wouldnt blame the OP to not reveal.

Some of the people on here should be well and truly ashamed of themselves.

goddessofsmallthings · 25/10/2015 18:47

He's woken up and texted? What a swizz. I was looking forward to Graham Norton on the Swingometer livening up the early hours with an Election Night report.

pinotblush · 25/10/2015 18:48

Dont tell them OP Grin

Stop feeding the fire.

BrendaandEddie · 25/10/2015 18:49

I BLOODY HEART THIS THREAD

Roussette · 25/10/2015 18:49

Why should anyone be ashamed of themselves... I have more or less followed this thread and apart from a split on text or don't text, I haven't seen any vitriol

BrendaandEddie · 25/10/2015 18:49

is the election over?

oh NOOOOOOOOO

KitKatCustard · 25/10/2015 18:50

I am terribly afraid it was a " you're lovely but I am not looking for a relationship" text.
Or alternatively " get over here now for a repeat performance ".
Either way, hope you're OK, OP.

LineyReborn · 25/10/2015 18:50

I run very retro elections, CheersMedea. Smile

IfNotNowThenWhenever · 25/10/2015 18:52

Oh I hope it was filthy

CheersMedea · 25/10/2015 18:53

Yeah - I was thinking the same thing Rousette

CheersMedea · 25/10/2015 18:55

Possible texts OP has had:

I had a great time last night but my sister posts on MNs. She made me read this thread about expecting a text. . .

00100001 · 25/10/2015 18:57

CheersMedea · 25/10/2015 18:57

Did I miss something?

There was some Moldovan bribery .. .

MillionToOneChances · 25/10/2015 18:58

Dammit, I didn't get to vote or find out what he texted. I feel cheated. Grin

I would have texted with exactly the same speed and tone post-shag as pre-shag, but once only. At those points in a relationship where it's easy to come across as needy, I find it best to stick to a text for a text rule until I feel on more solid ground and any worries have receded. Plus it's worth bearing in mind that men are not mind readers and only know you're needy if you make it obvious by sending plaintive, multiple or passive aggressive texts. Which I wouldn't recommend - needy is not an attractive trait. Most of us feel it sometimes but it's best ridden out whilst the man in question remains oblivious (source: male best friends).
