To suppose that working class men are better in bed?

So, I was just generally perusing the middle class thread, becoming ever more incredulous that anybody would aspire to be anything even slightly synonymous with mediocre when it dawned on me....

Every upper middle/middle class man I've ever had carnal knowledge of was a bit of a let down.

Is this a documented phenomenon?

Or have I just had the good fortune of knowing a few too many well endowed, manually dextrous ruffians?

Oh piss off

Sparklingbrook · 13/09/2015 18:09

I like a thread to be live rather than Classics which is a museum of dead threads. Sad

Puzzledandpissedoff · 13/09/2015 18:11

I don't know if this counts, but many years ago I once shagged the son of the local bishop - as you'd expect the family were vair posh so god knows what he was doing with me

He wasn't up to much, but what really did it was when he called me "mummy" half way through. Oddly enough that put me off ...

Has anyone here ever shagged a carpenter?

Tinktheterrible · 13/09/2015 18:15

Shock puzzled I've had that too! Called me mummy at a critical moment! I dissolved into giggles. He was completely bemused. Don't think they were a religious family though. Certainly a proper toff. Ooh, I wonder if it's a toff 'thing'? Like polo? Grin

Dixie that's the thread I'm on about. It highly amused me. It was my first weekend on mn as well.

Tinktheterrible · 13/09/2015 18:16

And yes, I married an ex carpenter. No complaints Smile

The best (?) classic I've ever read was from EarthMotherImNot about her drug dependent foster child. I was reading it with such huge appreciation for the struggle that little child had, and then the ending to the thread came out of nowhere and broke my heart. Not funny at all but it's stuck with me a lot.

Sparklingbrook · 13/09/2015 18:18

I do cringe when it's suggested new people look at Classics to get a feel for the site when things like the bewildering Pom Bear dinner party are in there.

OTheHugeManatee · 13/09/2015 18:19

Not really relevant to this thread but the carpenter I've had working on our house recently is HOTT. Sadly married (as am I) plus I had to fire him for being unreliable about timings but he's still hott Grin

I always wondered what it would be like to have a quick knee-trembler behind a caravan with one of those rough gypsy boys who spin the carriages on the waltzer.

OTheHugeManatee · 13/09/2015 18:22

Also FWIW DH comes from a WC Liverpool background (dad was a factory fitter and later a gardener) but went to Oxford and works in the City. He is excellent in bed.

I'm sure that proves something Hmm

Isn't this the OP who could lick her nipples while lying down?

If so you do seem to be rather compelled to overshare

Couldn't say, Tink - Call me a coward but I didn't hang around long enough to find out Wink

Oooh, tell us about it, Dixie. Was his name Sid? Did you let him finger you for a bag of candy floss?
