AIBU?

To be wide awake and unable to sleep - so come tell me your secret thoughts that you would only whisper down a deep well at dead of night.

One of mine is :-

I can't abide one of my colleagues.

This person is loud, wants to be the centre of attention and, whatever the conversation is about, manages to turn it around to them.

Wide awake with heartburn, restless legs and too hot. I am so bored of being pregnant, I miss wine and the novelty has definitely worn off this time around. Hey ho, only 3 months to go.

My sister is pregnant with her 5th child, and for a multitude of reasons I won't go into, I want to shake her for her stupidity.

DP is getting fat and I fancy him a bit less for it. I would be devastated if he said I was too fat (I'm no skinnny Minnie myself) so I don't know what to do. I just wish he would realise that he can't go on like this by himself and try to control his eating and boozing
It is making me very sad

Oh poor you Blue.

Sounds tricky Chwat

I sometimes put the telly on for my grandchildren to avoid doing "crafty stuff" if I'm watching them Shock

Oh dear Elf - would instigating a healthy eating plan for you both work do you think and pretending it was for your benefit?

I don't like DH conversing with my friends when they have come to see me!

Just bog off and go fishing or something!

I try to keep dinner healthy and have a good healthy breakfast at weekends but I can't stop him eating 2rounds of buttered toast and a big slice of pork pie before bed. Not to mention 2 full portions of dinner in one sitting tonight Sad

Salmotrutta · 11/08/2015 01:20

Does that bother you then?

Sorry if I'm being nosey - just tell me to butt out.

Sorry that last was to Bleak.

Oh Elf that sounds tricky indeed.

Have you tried pitching the health angle to him about cholesterol etc?

It doesn't bother me that much. I'd love to know why people think it.

Elfontheedge · 11/08/2015 01:28

I think I have to talk to him calmly and factually. I think his snoring would improve hugely if he lost some weight as well. I'll wait until we've found out if I'm pregnant or not before I do it though (test last week was negative but still no period so hoping still)

I wish DH would stop telling me the same old stories about when he was at work.
He tells them over and over. I could strangle him. Seriously. They weren't interesting the first time round.Let alone 500 tellings later.
It is driving me bonkers.

Elfontheedge · 11/08/2015 01:31

Maybe if I am I can try the "help me have a healthy pregnancy this time round" angle.

Awake now because - The cat fell asleep in my knee 10 minutes ago and I don't want to move and disturb him. The only problem is I am actually sitting on the toilet (I only went for a quick pee honest)

One of my secrets is that I frequently get up in the middle of the night and eat chocolate or cheese or sometimes both. I used to work nightshift and my body clock still regards 2am as lunchtime. I'm never really hungry through the day so don't eat much but I wake up hungry when everyone is asleep. I have just had a slice of cheese and a chocolate biscuit and was about to head back to bed before the cat incident.
