Everytime someone says something popular opinion on mumsnet disagrees with they are accused of being stupid and uneducated.

You mainly see it on immigration, Europe and political parties.

These people who namecall never actually argue the point but accuse the poster of being uneducated.

Unless mumsnet changes any form of debate on here is going to be boring.

It doesn't though crusts, it just makes you look bossy. And saying 'one of the nasties' just makes you sound immature.

Can you be specific. Is there something that someone has posted on this thread that you consider 'nasty'? If so, could you quote it so that others can see what you mean.

The OP is not being unreasonable. I have said things along the lines of why i think this. If I was on thread in AIBU that was about parking then my posts would be about that, so Im not sure what you're implying here Mary.

I never call a troll
I never use humour as a weapon
I have a point of view and never tell another they are wrong to have theirs

The OP obviously has had a bad experience on here. I support her in the fact that it does happen I also support her in not wanting to come back and get the same treatment again. She was hurt and needed to go away for a bit after stating that.

How anyone can think this unreasonable is beyond me.

If I think someone is behaving like a twat I will tell them they are behaving like a twat. If I think they are talking shit I will tell them so.

I don't agree with the 'old guard/royalty' bullshit because I know people who namechange constantly yet have been here for bloody years. How does anyone know who is 'old guard' and who isn't?

There is a lot of mudslinging lately and the majority of it seems to come from newbies who seem to hang around mainly on AIBU and enjoy either being goady or getting in nasty digs because they can.

From what I can see we have an ongoing issue with people joining specifically to troll/goad/be shitty to vulnerable people.

And I think AIBU has become a fucking bearpit that has outlived its usefulness and needs to go.
