To hate that Mumsnetters Do This

Everytime someone says something popular opinion on mumsnet disagrees with they are accused of being stupid and uneducated.

You mainly see it on immigration, Europe and political parties.

These people who namecall never actually argue the point but accuse the poster of being uneducated.

Unless mumsnet changes any form of debate on here is going to be boring.

OP posts:
Pagwatch · 17/05/2015 18:59

Is someone saying mumsnet can be judgemental?

Yikes. That's as surprising as all hell.

PinkSquash · 17/05/2015 18:59

Arent you judging those you deem to be judgmental?

Diamond23 · 17/05/2015 19:00

It's not mumsnet. The whole internet does that

crustsaway · 17/05/2015 19:01

I don't cry wolf. The same people who profess to be able to "hold their own" are the ones that "report", its like being a jobsworth. Very strange.

These same people now think I'm a troll Grin

I'm a normal person who has been around a while and dislike the way certain people operate is all.

HoneyDragon · 17/05/2015 19:02
PinkSquash · 17/05/2015 19:03

I'm sure those certain people will care greatly. Hmm

CheekyVimpto · 17/05/2015 19:04

I don't get that the OP on this thread was goady though I do think there have been a lot of goady threads here lately. I think those of you who are implying crustaway is the OP are being goady though, report if you think that may be the case but don't be accusing her of sockpuppeting because she agrees with the OP on some points. It is kind of proving the point about cliques and their intolerance of any dissent, there could well be two or more different people who disagree with you lot.

ilovesooty · 17/05/2015 19:04

crustsaway

Perhaps I've missed it but I don't see any suggestion that you're a troll.

crustsaway · 17/05/2015 19:05

Im sure they won't Pink. I'm just not nasty to people on line nor in real life is all.

ilovesooty · 17/05/2015 19:05

Oh I see now. The sockpuppeting suggestion - my apologies.

GoodbyeToAllOfThat · 17/05/2015 19:07

I've observed a lot of posters dismissing people as thick before/during/in the aftermath of the election.

crustsaway · 17/05/2015 19:10

I have seen many a person being called and idiot and a troll when they probably arent.

I just don't see the need to be pretentious nor passively aggressive through humour on any thread nor do I see the need to hurt the OP's feelings. We all have our buttons, we are all different. Therefore the OP does have a point.

MargoReadbetter · 17/05/2015 19:11

Goodbye - the results, sadly, proved them right.

ilovesooty · 17/05/2015 19:12

So if she feels it's a point she wants to make she could use her usual user name to say so.

Laquitar · 17/05/2015 19:14

I have read much worst here. The word 'stupid' is on many threads among with much stronger words.
I dont know why Mint was pulled so many times there.

Either, the OP was a popular poster, Mintty is an unpopular poster or the Bankers are united.

crustsaway · 17/05/2015 19:16

Oh come on ilove, would you? be honest. This is a rather cut throat place a lot of the time. I feel for her.

ilovesooty · 17/05/2015 19:19

Honestly, crustsaway - I would. I'm not given to starting contentious threads but I've been flamed for my opinions before now. I think if you believe strongly in something you shouldn't hide behind a name change.

crustsaway · 17/05/2015 19:21

My bugbear is anyone calling someone stupid or and Idiot. You can call me a bitch or a cunt but not that, its belittling and nasty.

todayisayesterdaystomorrow · 17/05/2015 19:22

Yanbu I don't understand mn at all at times, some subjects can be thrashed out with disgusting language and comments and others can be fairly tame but get deleted. The mystery of mn.

fattymcfatfat · 17/05/2015 19:23

I agree with ilove I don't see why you would want to namechange, start a TAAT and then disappear.
I apologise if you are not the OP crust as I said, I think you are taking this to heart a bit. yes everyone has their limits, but there's no need to start a TAAT and disappear allowing it to descend into chaos.

ghostyslovesheep · 17/05/2015 19:25

I'm guessing the OP forgot their alternative log in

crustsaway · 17/05/2015 19:30

Ive been kicked off mumsnet for not following "guidelines" and saying things as I see them. Im neither vulnerable nor a goady fucker. Im a normal person living a normal life.

crustsaway · 17/05/2015 19:33

Surely everyone is allowed to say they were upset? who cares how many threads they start about it? so what? YANBU OP. Some people do get invested in threads, so what?

LyingWitchInTheWardrobe2726 · 17/05/2015 19:35

I don't think that crust is the OP.

crustsaway · 17/05/2015 19:37

I'm guessing the OP forgot their alternative log in

So what? passive aggressive posting there surely.
