To not like the way Prince George is dressed (and think it's often not weather appropriate)

OK I have said it....

I am in London and it was fucking freezing today OK maybe I am exaggerating a little but it was NOT shorts weather

I am not anti Royal, I tuned in to hear about the baby's safe arrival and wee George is just a cutie-pie but I don't like how they dress him.

So AIBU?

Yes. Non of your business - unless you want everyone else commenting on how you dress your kids .

FusionChefGeoff · 02/05/2015 22:01

He always looks like he's wandered into shot from the 1940s - if they're such a modern royal family, what's wrong with jeans and a t-shirt? God help them when he reaches the 'I do it my by self' stage!

TeddyBear5 · 02/05/2015 22:02

He had long socks on and was lifted from a car straight into a very warm building. He wouldn't have got cold.

usualsuspect333 · 02/05/2015 22:02

He did look like a child from the 1950s.

Totality22 · 02/05/2015 22:03

Also just to caveat by saying I know they can't dress him in trackies from Next but I find his outfits dated and twee.

This.

ginagslovechild · 02/05/2015 22:04

I love his look, he looks like a little boy not a miniature man which most little boys clothes try to be these days.

villainousbroodmare · 02/05/2015 22:04

He does look very old-fashioned, doesn't he? But then, so do the whole lot of 'em. That's their style.

PenguinsandtheTantrumofDoom · 02/05/2015 22:04

He was very formal.

But he had long socks and was outside for moments. Maternity wards are hotter than Hades normally anyway.

mewkins · 02/05/2015 22:04

He and William are wearing matching outfit (though William made a wise choice against knee high socks and t-bar shoes!)

It would be refreshing to see him in jeans, tshirt and crocs.

Totality22 · 02/05/2015 22:04

Oh and I know it is none of my business and MN hates "judgey pants" but I can't help it.

Just wondered if I am the only one? and it seems I am not

He was dressed fine for car - a probably very hot hospital. At least he wasn't wearing judgy pants...

KenDoddsDadsDog · 02/05/2015 22:04

Their bubz , their rulz hun.

Fairylea · 02/05/2015 22:04

He wasn't out walking around the streets dressed like that :)

I think he is really cute and I love his clothes.

Pommes · 02/05/2015 22:05

I thought George's top looked lovely, but totally agree about how cold his little legs must have been. Plus his shoes look too old, hard and formal for such a young lad, DH thinks his outfit was from the Victorian era. My DS was in a vest, jumper, hat and duffle coat today.

Best comment on MN all day.

PerspicaciaTick · 02/05/2015 22:05

Ooh I've read this exact same thread a few months ago, so someone feels the same as you. Unless you were the OP before too?

DrDre · 02/05/2015 22:05

Yawn. Who cares? Not me.

Calloh · 02/05/2015 22:05

I think his outfits are sweet and I don't think he was likely to get cold.

People can dress their children how they like - even the Royal family.

EachandEveryone · 02/05/2015 22:05

He could've looked the same in long trousers though. IT is blinking freezing today.

JemFinch · 02/05/2015 22:06

I like it. He's being photographed by the worlds media, they're going to dress him up.

Totality22 · 02/05/2015 22:06

Beat you to it re: judgy pants (although my spelling is questionable)

Lets face it, AIBU [and a lot of other sub forums] would die a complete death without some judgements.

I thought it was 15 degrees at Heathrow today, was London so different.

CadieAgain · 02/05/2015 22:06

It's an aristo thing. Character-building or some such.

OddBoots · 02/05/2015 22:06

It would have been worse if he was wearing a coat while in a car seat and it was hardly worth putting a coat on him for the trip from the car to the hospital.
