To not like the way Prince George is dressed (and think it's often not weather appropriate)

OK I have said it....

I am in London and it was fucking freezing today OK maybe I am exaggerating a little but it was NOT shorts weather

I am not anti Royal, I tuned in to hear about the baby's safe arrival and wee George is just a cutie-pie but I don't like how they dress him.

So AIBU?

400 years from now historians will note that it was friend of the royals, david beckham's birthday and he was wearing knee socks in his honour.

This thread has been worth it for the Gestapo shoes.

I think there is a HUGE amount of influence from Queen Liz as to how Kate and George dress. I will be interested to see if they all relax a bit once she has popped her clogs and there is no matriarch in the family.

Littlehomebird · 03/05/2015 16:19

Personally I cringe when I see babies & toddlers wearing jeans & t shirts but I wouldn't voice an opinion. George is traditionally dressed and no doubt will be taught manners which may include " if you can't say anything nice don't say anything atall".

He looked fine, comfortable and warm enough for those few seconds outside.

George looks adorable in his clothes.... I don't think they're old fashioned, just 'appropriate' and like a baby his age should, really.
When the time comes, I'll do the same instead of the mini adult fashion you see loads of.

Cantdecideondinner · 03/05/2015 18:05

I think he's dressed horribly, the long socks and buckle shoes, dreadful. There are plenty of ways of dressing little boys in age appropriate clothing but that isn't a look I would ever touch

Dumbledoresgirl · 03/05/2015 18:31

I read some paper online which had interviewed the boutique the clothes came from. Apparently, Kate herself bought the outfit back in November.

Chipstick10 · 03/05/2015 19:15

I can remember back in the day chatting with my mates and or my mum at how dreadfully Diana used to dress William and Harry when they were toddlers. YUk they always looked old fashioned and wore those horrid t bar shoes .

EuphemiaCoxton · 03/05/2015 19:19

I think he looks cute.
I love his war hair

LuluJakey1 · 03/05/2015 19:41

I think he looks lovely. I hate seeing little children dressed like teenagers.

The Royal child I feel really sorry for is Lady Louise Windsor who is always dressed hideously in coats that are toddler style with sleeves that are too. short for her. She never wears anything that flatters her or is suitable for a girl growing up.

grannytomine · 03/05/2015 20:27

I have a photo of my DH in a similar outfit, it was taken in 1947.

tarkawithaparka · 03/05/2015 20:44

I thought he looked absolutely lovely
