To ask why we can't have a sex board?

We have one for everything else under the sun after all.!

But every time anyone says anything to do with sex in Chat or AIBU it gets a suspicious response. Couldn't we just have one that's not accessible unless you're a logged in user?

I have actually gone and looked up the meaning....who has been shaming someone for their sexual acts?

ChampagneTastes · 01/05/2015 21:40

I see what everyone means about being able to post sensible queries in other topics... but... I wouldn't feel comfortable. I suspect there would be instant shouts of "troll" and lots of piss-taking whereas if there was a sex-specific topic there would be a certain expectation of adult-content and therefore people would be more forgiving of detail which may be important to the query.

ItsAllKickingOffPru · 01/05/2015 21:42

'Slut Shaming'?
Wait until the Trolls rub their hands and other parts and hold sway on a Speshul Sex Topic if you want to see that in action.

ItsAllKickingOffPru · 01/05/2015 21:46

That may be because of all the Trolls who have posted sex threads in the past, ChampagneTastes, plus the gleeful way MNHQ promote relatively trivial threads like Penis Beaker as the epitome of MN wit and wisdom

It's a shame they are seeking fame now as a cut-price un-Modded Claire Rayner Lite. How the mighty have fallen.

Hi all,

Apologies , we have been busy chatting about this and developing some Tech to make it more secure but....

We have created a new Sex topic

We have listened to what you have said on this thread and a few others and have decided to deindex the new topic from Google (this means it won't show in Google searches) and also restrict posting in that topic to those who have been on Mumsnet for more than 90 days.

Please do report any posts that break our guidelines as per usual and we will take a look. We hope you enjoy it Grin

Following your feedback, we are also going to do a Talk topic audit and get rid of a few of the topics are are never or very rarely used - you can see a full list here, if you'd like to keep it, please do post in the topic.
