To wonder why there has STILL been no donation?

This has probably been done, I know there was a long running thread about this very subject but I can't find it?
So, several months on I see Dax's parents have still not made the promised donation to Ronald McDonald hospice. On March 2nd they updated the Facebook page to say they works be making the donation 'very soon', but still nothing.
Am I the only one thinking they have no intention of donating any money out of the tens of thousands donated to them? That in fact they intend to keep it all and deny the very charity that provided them with so much support in the early weeks of their Childs life?
In fact, I don't think im the only one judging by the comments on the Facebook page.
I think they're hoping it will blow over and if they keep quiet long enough people will forget.

The date of donations will be published if it's anonymous.

The whole thing leaves a very nasty taste in the mouth and I feel so sorry for poor Dax to be used like this by his parents.

It does seem as if the money is long since gone and this talk of a personal donation is their way around the problem.

But you know what? I think this pair are so ignorant and thick skinned that nothing about this situation will bother them, but that said the wee boy will grow up one day and google his story and there will be much for him to think about.

You know the old saying - you can fool some of the people some of the time but you cant fool all of the people all of the time and that will include DAX.

You know as soon as they started saying it was to cover the rent and bills etc. I posted a number of times why they need £11k to cover rent and bills because quite frankly if I was in their situation and need to cover my mortgage and bills in zone 4 London for 3 months I would need £3.5k. They didn't stay 3 months but 2 months and live in Lincolnshire and having seen that they are clearly not living in a castle how on earth does rent and bills come anywhere near to £11k from gofundme + £5k in personal pay pal. This is why everyone is expecting a huge donation because if they did indeed keep some back to cover their bills then you would still expect to see at least £10k to be donated.

When people were raising questions why don't they sell their car responses were why should they - why should they have to sell anything or make sacrifices. Unfortunately that is life and sometimes you fall on hard times and should not expect joe public to pay to keep your lavish lifestyle. More to the point that they are self employed and I work with lots of self employed people and those that have children start saving early to ensure they can cover the time they will be off. Infact they generally put enough away incase they are light on work. So really there is no excuse to need people to pay their rent and bills.

On the fb page it does have a 'thanks for your donation' comment. The link here doesnt so maybe they have actually donated. At last.

No, it's exactly the same page. On the Donate page, without giving a donation, it says "Thank you for helping to provide a "home away from home" for children fighting cancer and their families." The bit that they have CROPPED continues as follows:

"Your donation to Ronald McDonald House New York is...made through a secure, encrypted connection. You can give with confidence and assurance that your personal and financial information is safe and secure."

No actual donation needed.

They have been taking the piss since day one and the press enabled it. I really would like to see one of the broadsheets use this in exposing this nonsense.

An innocent baby was pimped out, a charity lost out, the English look scummy by association to these people, people internationally have been mislead.

Oh, I see what sovery is referring to. There is a bit added "Thank you for your donation" at the end of the original paragraph. Why wouldn't there be an entirely new page saying thanks, though? It's not photo-shopped is it?
