To wonder why there has STILL been no donation?

This has probably been done, I know there was a long running thread about this very subject but I can't find it?
So, several months on I see Dax's parents have still not made the promised donation to Ronald McDonald hospice. On March 2nd they updated the Facebook page to say they works be making the donation 'very soon', but still nothing.
Am I the only one thinking they have no intention of donating any money out of the tens of thousands donated to them? That in fact they intend to keep it all and deny the very charity that provided them with so much support in the early weeks of their Childs life?
In fact, I don't think im the only one judging by the comments on the Facebook page.
I think they're hoping it will blow over and if they keep quiet long enough people will forget.

Who is the lady that donated and asked for a refund? I need her help with something.

2MuchLoveWillKillYou · 08/04/2015 19:14

You should try that scam of ny page. They have screenshots and everything

MyArksNotReady · 08/04/2015 19:15

A few people on mumsnet did give donations. I remember them saying on the first ever thread. Maybe start a new thread making it clear you need to speak to these people?

MyArksNotReady · 08/04/2015 19:16

Piston heads has screen shots too.

fluffymouse · 08/04/2015 19:34

I just wanted to remind posters that while their behaviour has been less than exemplary, it is best to avoid anything that could be seen as a personal attack, as mumsney might pull the whole thread (like they did previously).

albertcamus · 08/04/2015 20:16

Very obviously our Lee will go fat States-side; he's got all the required qualities from hulky image, brass neck & entrepreneurial skills to caring-sharing 'we had labour pains' empathy. This time next year he will have his own Training Channel & be working for the Kardashians, mark my words !

albertcamus · 08/04/2015 20:16

FAR not FAT ! Freudian keyboard correction !

shewept · 08/04/2015 20:26

Funny that I Personally know 'The Protein Chef' people rip her off all the time. And its not healthy its simply got more protein in it, slightly less fat.

I might have to let her know Lee is using her recipes and not crediting her. Also there are quite strict rules on making cakes to sell. Its how I started my food business.

MyArksNotReady · 08/04/2015 20:36

He has been copying and pasting your friend SHEWEPT, no credit given, as long as I was watching his page.

shewept · 08/04/2015 21:09

Whether protein recipes are healthy or not really depends on what you are looking for. If you are looking for higher protein stuff fair enough. But if you are not then its not. 'Healthy' is a subjective term.

HouseBot · 08/04/2015 21:16

The cheesecake thing looks like an odd direction - probably unlicensed, sounds pretty unappetising too.

MyArksNotReady · 08/04/2015 21:21

With the chipped plates, a young baby, polio shots and nappies, no way would I eat their cheesecake.

shewept · 08/04/2015 21:23

Body power expo is coming up. Huge fitness event. I will be keeping my out for him, especially if he is trying to sell cake. Protein Chef will be there too. Grin

RebootYourEngine · 08/04/2015 22:11

Where is he selling those cheesecakes coz i would be warning the customers as i bet its not health and safety/ food standard regulate.

TheFairyCaravan · 08/04/2015 22:24

I think he's selling them to people down the gym Reboot.

Between · 08/04/2015 22:34

This thread is daft. I get the outrage about TD asking for donations and the promise of a donation to RM house but all the other stuff that posters are bringing up is a bit much. There have been some really ridiculous posts.

MarthasHarbour · 08/04/2015 22:42

I have tried looking for the TM interview on you tube but can't find it. Could someone link it please? Thanks

just another 'outraged of mumsnet' poster Shock

ScamBuster1 · 08/04/2015 22:59

Looks like the donations are being used to fund protein supplements, as well as purchase cheesecake ingredients. On a serious note, if she hasn't done a food safety course, and doesn't have enough fridge space to put all those cheesecake's, she could land up in hot water.

To wonder why there has STILL been no donation?

shewept · 09/04/2015 06:28

between we are allowed to have a laugh as well as being outraged. My post about telling my friend he is possibly using her recipes, isn't ridiculous. She probably can't do anything. But this happens alot. Even without all the other stuff, I would tell her.
Strange as it sounds there is a lot of money being made by people like protein chef, Proteinologist etc because they come up with great recipes. They have books out and are paid to create recipes by lots of the supplement companies. Of course I am going to tell someone I know about this. Its a completely different issue.

Re: tax.

"My apologies. I should not of posted that picture. It was irresponsible and no excuses. Being frustrated with everything is not good enough. At least all the people that disagree now have a place to play. I can assure you all, we will be getting advice on opening a registered charity Monday. All money is being accounted for and will be registered for tax purposes and all done right"

(FB page photos, 3/Jan)

No idea what the distasteful picture he uploaded was though.

ScotsWhaHae · 09/04/2015 08:57

I think that was when he posted the screen shot of the person that asked for a refund.

SoupDragon · 09/04/2015 08:59

Why do they need a registered charity to make a donation to RMH>

shewept · 09/04/2015 09:02

So TD says there are no tax implications, but Lee suggests there are and 3 months ago was setting it up as a charity? Does it take 3 months to do this?

Gets stranger and stranger.
