To wonder why there has STILL been no donation?

This has probably been done, I know there was a long running thread about this very subject but I can't find it?
So, several months on I see Dax's parents have still not made the promised donation to Ronald McDonald hospice. On March 2nd they updated the Facebook page to say they works be making the donation 'very soon', but still nothing.
Am I the only one thinking they have no intention of donating any money out of the tens of thousands donated to them? That in fact they intend to keep it all and deny the very charity that provided them with so much support in the early weeks of their Childs life?
In fact, I don't think im the only one judging by the comments on the Facebook page.
I think they're hoping it will blow over and if they keep quiet long enough people will forget.

corn chips I think those people are actually being very clever, as they know they have to word the questions like that so that they won't be deleted...

Any bets on how much they will donated? £0.24

spudholes · 08/04/2015 17:59

I've been blocked by the mother, despite not even contacting her or anything. I'm starting to think that 'trickydicky' is infact the mum/dad.

MyArksNotReady · 08/04/2015 18:05

I doubt it's Dad. Dad is quite limited apart from his ability to grow big muscles and get others to support his lifestyle choices.

passmethewineplease · 08/04/2015 18:08

The amount of bodybuilding selfies make me cringe a bit. Envy

Lyinginwait888 · 08/04/2015 18:08

Well it wouldn't be unheard of for a mother of a preemie to be on mumsnet Grin

It must be taking a lot of time and energy keeping this up. Katie if you are reading then please just do the right thing!

Lyinginwait888 · 08/04/2015 18:11

And mumsnetters have long memories!

Just look at mouldies! 7 years ago and we're still going on about it!

Cameltits · 08/04/2015 18:14

I had a comment deleted a couple of weeks ago, asking when a donation would be made. Very worrying all this, I hope they explain things soon

sharonthewaspandthewineywall · 08/04/2015 18:15

How do you know mum has blocked you spudholes?

AbbeyRoadCrossing · 08/04/2015 18:15

They could easily say something like "after having Dax I'm taking a longer maternity leave to care for him and would like to use the remaining donations in this way. If anyone would like a refund though please get in touch" and that would be the end of it. Or option B: donate the money. If they continue to say and do nothing the questions won't go away.
I say this as a preemie mum, of course it's bloody hard and you don't have much time, but an online donation or a Facebook post clarifying the situation would take a few minutes. I managed to send thank you cards to the people that helped me when my DS was about 2-3 months old, they could easily have said thank you on TV.

MamainMilan · 08/04/2015 18:20

I haven't been following it that closely, although I admit I am being drawn into the 'where is the donation' thing.

How sad that whatever comes next for this pair, the memories of their first child's birth will forever be associated with all this. Really, was it worth it to allegedly scam a few thousand quid?

yallahabibi · 08/04/2015 18:27

Child is going to need to name change.

MyArksNotReady · 08/04/2015 18:28

The Charity commission and their own page advised people to contact them directly. If they are blocking people on fb they can always phone as Lee had his mobile advertised on his page or write or turn up at TD.'s gym asking questions. We could join the mummy tummy sessions Lee runs and half way through question him about the donation. Grin

shewept · 08/04/2015 18:29

So he is a PT, who trains people then sells them cheesecake? All I get is a coffee or protein shake from my PT. Not sure if I feel lucky or a bit sad my PT doesn't make me cheesecake. Shock

MyArksNotReady · 08/04/2015 18:38

It is not any cheesecake. It is protein cheese cake with a base as deep as the topping.

ScotsWhaHae · 08/04/2015 18:46

So it's a healthy cheesecake?

Is his fb private now? It was entertaining reading all his motivational waffle. I missed the cheesecake though.

trufflesnout · 08/04/2015 18:47

Yes healthy cheesecakes featuring whole creme eggs...

And yes, the FB profiles are now private Sad

ScotsWhaHae · 08/04/2015 18:49

Spoil sports!

MyArksNotReady · 08/04/2015 18:49

Cheesecake.

It is jam. He does a copy and paste from others continually , pretending it's him.

MyArksNotReady · 08/04/2015 19:00

He doesn't credit these guys for instance on his fb page. Nor anyone else.

spudholes · 08/04/2015 19:05

The dad that I sent the message to has now blocked me. Time to report them.

expatinscotland · 08/04/2015 19:05

'If they have spent the money, maybe they are just hoping all the hooha will die down so they can pocket it quietly? '

Of course they spent the money. Cannot believe people fell for this.
