To wonder why there has STILL been no donation?

This has probably been done, I know there was a long running thread about this very subject but I can't find it?
So, several months on I see Dax's parents have still not made the promised donation to Ronald McDonald hospice. On March 2nd they updated the Facebook page to say they works be making the donation 'very soon', but still nothing.
Am I the only one thinking they have no intention of donating any money out of the tens of thousands donated to them? That in fact they intend to keep it all and deny the very charity that provided them with so much support in the early weeks of their Childs life?
In fact, I don't think im the only one judging by the comments on the Facebook page.
I think they're hoping it will blow over and if they keep quiet long enough people will forget.

All of those involved in this are thieves, obtaining money by deception. I thought that was illegal??

its the poor baby I feel sorry for, people will probably think the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. And imagine a future employer googling his name?

TheFairyCaravan · 08/04/2015 12:32

TD was "too tired" to update the GoFundme page in the 24 hours after the insurance company said they'd pay. He was not "too tired", however, to keep updating the Fb page, nor was he "too tired" to not be abusive, racist or disablist.

The whole thing has a very nasty smell around it.

MyArksNotReady · 08/04/2015 12:37

I agree Dax Johnson is such an individual name. The top comments on the last DM article won't make nice reading when his employers view it.

Self employment in the flogging slices of cheesecake, family business may take him on.

I hope they have the correct certificates for baking at home and selling to the public?

TheFairyCaravan · 08/04/2015 12:44

I doubt they do MyArks. I did roll my eyes when I saw Lee begging to borrow bloody cake tins for his cheesecake business. He doesn't like spending his own money does he just that of strangers?

Lyinginwait888 · 08/04/2015 12:45

Does anyone else wonder whether the couple are splitting up?

It would explain A lot

I'm not wishing it on them btw, but would make sense of things a bit more.

Wannabestepfordwife · 08/04/2015 12:46

Myarks I would be more concerned about it being marketed as a healthy cake but the sodium content which was posted was incredibly high

MyArksNotReady · 08/04/2015 12:48

I wouldn't be surprised. He behaves as a selfish Man child. The TM interview must have been humiliating for her.

MyArksNotReady · 08/04/2015 12:52

Wow, trading standards wouldn't be impressed. They do like to push boundaries.

They are quite manipulative and cruel really selling cake to clients who are paying for their expertise, trying to get healthy. So misleading.

fluffymouse · 08/04/2015 13:30

lying I haven't though of that, but I certainly wouldn't blame her after seeing the this morning

Interested what makes you think they are splitting up?

HouseBot · 08/04/2015 13:50

Well there were some allegations of extra curricular activities on his part (OLD) a while back.

MyArksNotReady · 08/04/2015 14:02

I remember that. The allegations were on the posts to page.

Lyinginwait888 · 08/04/2015 14:03

Fluffy - I just wondered because TD was alluding to the fact there was a definite reason for not paying yet, and that the clarifications of the legal position were the reason for the hold up.

I'm going to be very careful what I write here, but it does remind me of the philpots, major Ingram type event. I'm not accusing them of anytihg, definitely nothing as sinister as the Philpots, but it's like they're in too deep and too many people are involved trying to stick to the story.

MyArksNotReady · 08/04/2015 14:07

They are living in the hall of fame. The World knows Dax's name.

spudholes · 08/04/2015 14:32

Can someone link me to both parents facebook page?

wooldonor · 08/04/2015 14:39

I'd like a link to the cheesecake page, I missed that part of the story Smile

wooldonor · 08/04/2015 14:41

pmed you spudholes Smile

MyArksNotReady · 08/04/2015 14:55

When they were alerted to this thread they changed settings on their fb pages. I believe others have screenshots of the cheesecake posts.

yallahabibi · 08/04/2015 16:00

Back from work and marking my spot again .Could the baby be taken away from the parents like has happened to beggars who use babies to solicit on the streets ?

MyArksNotReady · 08/04/2015 16:15

I doubt it as Mr Cameron and Mr Andre pimp their dc out too.

YoungGirlGrowingOld · 08/04/2015 16:24

It does seem to be very disingenuous. I have been trying to give them the benefit of the doubt, but the longer this goes on, the harder it is. If they have spent the money, maybe they are just hoping all the hooha will die down so they can pocket it quietly? If not, then why the hell not just make the bloody donation?

Liger123 · 08/04/2015 16:29

Has anyone else noticed how they only "like" the comments that tell them to "keep the money for Dax, hun"? They just ignore the (seemingly nice) comments telling them how wonderful their donation will be to RMDH...

I think that in the unlikely event a donation is made, it will be made begrudgingly.

spudholes · 08/04/2015 16:32

I've messaged the dad asking about the donation to RMCH. Told him if they don't donate I will be contacting the fraud department and the media, also legal action.

CornChips · 08/04/2015 16:33

I have just caught up with this thread and the facebook page and confess I am finding it amusing how people are now complimenting them so saccharinely about their promise to donate......... TD can't really delete those posts as they are 'for' the parents.... but are Making The Point.

Just donate FFS. I'd love a link to cheesecake-tin gate too please.

passmethewineplease · 08/04/2015 16:35

I wonder if they're trying to find the funds to donate and that's why it's taking so long.

Weebirdie · 08/04/2015 17:24

I suspect they are just fronting it out whilst thinking people will get fed up asking and go away.
