I deciding who to vote and it is definitely not going to be ukip or conservative. But while scrolling all the parties polices on immigration i found Ukips the most sense.

Ukip want an Austrailian points system. My mother came to Britain in 1956 aged just 24 she was a nurse and had a skill. I'm not considering voting ukip but on immigration they have got it right. I think that mass immigration has suppressed wages for the poor and It is wrong to have such a large number. Anyway aibu

Peutetre why? will leaving the EU solve the housing crisis and bring an end to homelessness?

I KNOW it's free for EU citizens to bring their spouse, and there is a way for British citizens to benefit from this rule if the financial requirements for the spouse visa are prohibitive. This has been available for nearly 20 years: Surinder Singh case law. But this isn't the point. EU membership and immigration are not bad because we have have strict rules for spouse visas.

If we do leave the EU, I look forward to being able to leave a supermarket without being pestered to buy a Big Issue.
What? Hmm

Will we also colonize Mars if we leave the EU?

What other rubbish is in these UKIP pamphlets?

John Bird, born in 1946, and who founded the Big Issue, was mostly homeless from age 5 - late 20s (so that's 1951-1973). BEFORE the UK joined the EEC. What is it about not being in EU that prevents homelessness? [confusion]

BIWI · 20/03/2015 13:27

peutetre

Care to post some research, statistics or evidence that our membership of the EU is the cause of homelessness in GB?

OnlyLovers · 20/03/2015 13:41

Another one on tenterhooks to hear the explanation of how EU membership leads to people selling the Big Issue outside supermarkets.

[all ears]

My Big issue seller is Syrian.
And speaks far better English than most of his customers.

The one before that was Iranian. He now works in B&Q

My car wash man is Kosovan. He says British summers are shit compared with Kosovo but the money is better for those who work.

PeachyParisian · 20/03/2015 14:35

English summers are shit in comparison to Kosova ones Grin but with an average salary of about €200 a month back home even working in a car wash will seem very well paid.

Lweji · 20/03/2015 21:15

My cleaning lady is Ukranian.
I'm not in the UK, and in fact in a country where many people are emigrating or have emigrated (both with degrees and without).
Considering the conditions that they have there now, and even before, I have no problems with them being here and using our health system.

TalkinPeace · 20/03/2015 21:20

Near my car wash are lots of local unemployed
but the fact is that none of them were willing to take the job.
Its hard work
but the money is good (around £300 a week after tax)
but the English are not willing to do it
