To think that Islamic state will cause world war 3

ReallyTired · 16/02/2015 17:13

I feel terrified for the future. I believe that the world will reach a point where there will be outright war to stop Islamic state. In the meantime Russia will annexe the Ukraine and much of Eastern Europe.

I am scared that Islamic state will get hold of atomic weapons. There are Muslim extremists with the intelligence to make a nuclear bomb. There are Muslim countries with uranium deposits.

Nobody has actually seen heads being sliced off with knives Sirchenjin In fact, they purposely didn't show that.
Not everything you 'see' is always as you believe it to be.

With the world media always at the ready to report shocking stories and with special effect capabilities and Hollywood style movies easy to make, how easy would it be to stir up a bees nest for your cause.

Not sure if others have seen the purported evidence from forensic investigators who said the last beheading film wasn't filmed in a desert at all.....but in front of a green screen in a studio. If they can lie about that, what else have they lied about. Humans are easily conditioned into believing something they are shown to be true.

TheHoneyBadger · 16/02/2015 18:18

also it's halal meat not CRACK. stealth makes it sound like they're secretly feeding your children class a drugs.

and yes, it's always publicised.

the only concern with halal meat i'm aware of is whether it is cruel to animals and there are big investigations to halal slaughterhouses currently and i'm aware of people who refuse to eat it due to believing it to be cruel.

unless you have an animal cruelty concern i'm not sure what you're worried about unless you think it will turn you muslim or you'll go to hell for eating it or somethign Confused

can you imagine the racism of the eastend back in the day and the complaints about that stinky indian food they cook in them indian houses? that's what you lot are sounding like in case you can't hear yourselves.

NotTheKitchenAgainPlease · 16/02/2015 18:19

"Spiritual good" - I've heard it all now.Confused Grin
HoneyBadger I think you might be right.

Arsenic · 16/02/2015 18:20

What Wilts said. So many fifth columnists across Europe. And Australia. And North America.

Lovemycatsandkids · 16/02/2015 18:21

Op I think IS will be crushed because they make other Middle East leaders like that bastard Assad almost moderate.

They will be crushed because they have gone too far now and pissed off Egypt and Jordan who will hopefully influence the Muslim backers to stop financing them.

Putin scares me more.

As for our schools and society bowing and scraping to ridiculous notions of any religion it's a slippery slope.

I detest faith schools of any faith as it's indoctrinating children and would gladly ban them all.

TheRollingCrone · 16/02/2015 18:21

Nah, it'll be that headcase Vlad that kicks off proceedings

VirginiaTonic · 16/02/2015 18:22

The fact that a practise, which is fundamentally against the views of the majority, is allowed to be almost forced upon the whole of society, in order to appease the minority, is the problem. These seemingly small issues are culminating into a sense of threat to and amongst the general society of Britain.

MalibuStacy · 16/02/2015 18:22

Putin scares me more.

Why? That's a genuine question, by the way.

thehumanjam · 16/02/2015 18:25

But halal meat hasn't been forced on the majority has it? In my area the meat is non halal. In areas where the majority of children are Muslim it makes sense to switch to halal.

Unidentifieditem · 16/02/2015 18:25

Halal meat in restaurants is a FINANCIAL thing not a religious. Widen your product to a greater market... Increase profits. Pretty basic. Not radical at all.

AgentCooper · 16/02/2015 18:26

Halal food in Pizza Express and Subway; pork withdrawn from school meals; segregated swimming sessions - these are but the minor symptoms of a loss of identity and courage

As we like to say round my bit, get tae actual fuck. Halal food in Pizza Express and Boko Haram kidnapping hundreds of innocent girls? Not really comparable in my book.

FWIW, I work with many Muslim students from the ME through my work. I feel so fucking sorry for them when they start getting tarred with the Islam=jihadism brush. Of course they all have distinct viewpoints and personalities but each and every one has vocally expressed their hatred of Isis. The Iraqis describe having to go into Baghdad for their visa appointments and being absolutely terrified, parents begging them not to go. They are Muslims, but bombs don't discriminate.

Unidentifieditem · 16/02/2015 18:27

It's Birmingham I worry about, those guys at Fox News were right . Ahem.

adsy · 16/02/2015 18:27

Verbena37
are you saying the murders are made up?? If you are then you are seriously fucked up.7

babbas · 16/02/2015 18:28

Wait, it wasn't muslims who asked for pizza express and subway to be halal right? It was a commercial decision made by the company.

There's constant threads on mn these days which go along the lines of posters bashing muslims/generalising/complaining about halal meat/telling muslims to go elsewhere/sharia law etc etc
Lots of posters agree and lump all muslims into a homogeneous mass
Muslim poster or someone trying to disagree with poster pipes in
Posters round up on this person and accuse them off playing an islamophobia card.

Wtaf. Seriously. Some of the comments here are shameful. If ww3 does start it'll be because of the west and in particular the US.

Lovemycatsandkids · 16/02/2015 18:28

Honey I imagine the vast majority of people object to halal meat on the grounds that killing animals that way is cruel.

I don't actually think most people think you can 'catch the Muslim'

Really patronising silly comments like this just fuel UKIP I am afraid as it makes people feel belittled and those who seek to sound superior and amused at people's fears do the cause of liberalism no good.

It is actually ok to debate religion and customs you know and profoundly disagree without screeching racist.

KnittedJimmyChoos · 16/02/2015 18:30

yes, it's always publicised

Look I don't want this turning into a debate about Whether we should all be fed Halal meat, I was providing evidence for wilts comments re Halal meat that were jumped on by the right on crowd.

No it has not not always been published, and turkey ham has been used in place of Ham on pizzas in all sorts of chains for a long time until it was exposed.

If a Liberal and Right On, Imam who knows his faith inside out, finds it worrying then so should we.

ghostyslovesheep · 16/02/2015 18:31

Muslims make up 4% of the UK population 4%

before people start getting too carried away - 96% of the UK ...NOT MUSLIM

stop the hyperbole

TSSDNCOP · 16/02/2015 18:31

Sorry, did a poster actually imply the beheadings of IS prisoners is faked?

Get the fuck over yourself.

ghostyslovesheep · 16/02/2015 18:33

But he is still one man with an opinion - out of many millions

there are other liberal Muslims who would disagree

SirChenjin · 16/02/2015 18:33

Really - you think they just staged the decapitations Verbena and then put them back in jail?

Why don't you check Google if you feel you are unsure - they have uploaded footage of the executions, I believe. They're thoughtful that way.

ghostyslovesheep · 16/02/2015 18:34

is Turkey ham dangerous?

Koalafications · 16/02/2015 18:34

To be honest, I'm not entirely comfortable with us 'banning' pork in schools.

But, I have no idea what this has to do with IS and WW3 unless we are concerned our ration packs wont have spam sandwiches?!

ghosty read the post pointing out the fact that very few Germans were Nazis, most North Koreans are normal nice people etc. The majority don't matter.

ghostyslovesheep · 16/02/2015 18:35
