I work for a company that sublets to various businesses on a fairly large site,

Today one of our directors, who is reasonably wealthy, pulled a gag on the lady that runs the onsite cafe that involved a 25k fake scratch card.

She isn't wealthy, and spent 20 mind or so phoning her family and friends offering to treat them before my pathetic boss laughed at her for falling for the joke.

Aibu is this a particularly cuntish thing to just before Christmas?

Poor woman cried she was so disappointed/embarrassed. Angry

YANBU - that was an incredibly cruel thing for him to do. May his scrotum be infested with the fleas of a million camels.

itiswhatitiswhatitis · 21/12/2014 00:05

What a shit head Angry

BaffledSomeMore · 21/12/2014 00:07

Oh. That's not nice at all.

SolidGoldBrass · 21/12/2014 00:07

What a shitty thing to do. He clearly feels that the 'lower orders' are fair game for humiliation.

Charitybag · 21/12/2014 00:07

What a callous bastard. What a shitty thing to do to a person.

That poor woman. How humiliated she must feel.

divingoffthebalcony · 21/12/2014 00:08

That is just unbelievably cruel. You'd have to be sick in the head to go to all that trouble and think it was funny.

CatWreathkeith · 21/12/2014 00:08

I'm outraged in her behalf.

I am tempted to send a 'dear dad' Christmas card to his home address from a mystery child but won't, because it's not his wife fault, but really? Who thinks that shit is funny?

OP posts:
VerityWaves · 21/12/2014 00:08

That is absolutely cruel and a bit sick actually...

Gabriola · 21/12/2014 00:08

I think that should be followed up by a fake HMRC letter for him.

BabCNesbittsSeasonalGreet · 21/12/2014 00:09

What an absolute cunt. I hope he offered to at least buy some presents for the people she'd called up to make up for being a total bell-end?

AgentZigzag · 21/12/2014 00:09

What a cunt.

Did anyone call him on it?

CatWreathkeith · 21/12/2014 00:10

Apparently it was 'just a bit of fun' and 'banter'. Angry

Utter utter fucking bastard.

OP posts:
CatWreathkeith · 21/12/2014 00:11

Just me agent. Apparently I have no sense of humour. Sad

OP posts:
LuluJakey1 · 21/12/2014 00:13

Typical excuse by men for this kind of behaviour. 'bit of a laugh/fun/banter'. If you don't get it, it is because you don't have a sense of humour rather than because he is a nasty git.

AgentZigzag · 21/12/2014 00:17

People were saying it was a bit of fun and banter even though the poor woman was crying?

Fucking good for you though OP and stopping yourself punching him out I'm sure they were (legitimately) concerned for their jobs, but it's pretty shoddy of them.

CatWreathkeith · 21/12/2014 00:17

I seriously hope she spits in every sandwich he ever buys from her.

I have had Wine and want revenge On Her behalf now.

Cunt.

itsnotjustastick · 21/12/2014 00:19

I hope karma bites him good and proper.

What a bastard. Utterly pathetic.

Alisvolatpropiis · 21/12/2014 00:21

That is really, really cruel.

What a cunt you boss is.

itiswhatitiswhatitis · 21/12/2014 00:22

Oh I think I would be going for some low level long term revenge on the fucker. The occasional flat tyre, a missing file here and there, a rogue prawn or two well hidden in his office.....

CatWreathkeith · 21/12/2014 00:25

Itawhat that's exactly what I'm thinking.

I'd lay money he wouldn't see the funny side if he was the victim of a few practical 'jokes' Angry

OP posts:
Canyouforgiveher · 21/12/2014 00:26

cunt.

I've never before used that word online.

I wouldn't want to work for someone like that - start looking for another job OP. I would report it to his other directors. Probably wouldn't make much difference but in my company if someone did that their career would stall if not fail.

Froggio · 21/12/2014 00:27

Well if he thinks this is "banter" he will be expecting some hilarious joke to be played on him now too? What a wanker. Probably thinks he's intouchable if he's a director. So what are you planning in revenge, sorry, banter.

Alisvolatpropiis · 21/12/2014 00:27

I'd find another job too. Because as time went on the urge to punch his smug face in would just grow. What a horrible man.
