I work for a company that sublets to various businesses on a fairly large site,

Today one of our directors, who is reasonably wealthy, pulled a gag on the lady that runs the onsite cafe that involved a 25k fake scratch card.

She isn't wealthy, and spent 20 mind or so phoning her family and friends offering to treat them before my pathetic boss laughed at her for falling for the joke.

Aibu is this a particularly cuntish thing to just before Christmas?

Poor woman cried she was so disappointed/embarrassed. Angry

Sue's idea is definitely the best so far - he will be humiliated abd everyone know what a prat he is. I'd happily donate some money to help that lady feel better!!

paperlace · 21/12/2014 08:13

The other reason I wouldn't do Sue's idea is that this woman might be even more humilated and embarassed for it to go public - she might not want to accept donations from strangers! I definitely wouldn't - I'd feel guilty that those people were giving to me instead of people in crisis this time of year. It's a terrible idea imo - but well meant.

fuctifino · 21/12/2014 08:14

That poor woman, to think you have £25k, then poof, all you have is a knobber and his son laughing at you. She must feel dreadful.

Is he new car sales? I think my company will be needing a whole fleet of cars in the new year, top of the range of course.
I'll be wanting them just long enough for him to get excited about his wedge of commission I think Hmm.

I like Sue's idea, I suspect that would stick in his craw somewhat Grin

CornChips · 21/12/2014 08:19

What an ARSEHOLE.

I like Aussiemum's suggestion, alot. That would ruin his Christmas I bet.

IsabellaofFrance · 21/12/2014 08:21

What an utter bastard. He obviously thinks he is well above the lady in the cafe and its okay to taunt the 'poor'.

I like Sue's idea, and telling your boss. I would also tell his wife!

flamingoland · 21/12/2014 08:39

:( :( :( Awful. I would be tempted to buy her a lovely present. If you are confident enough, I would suggest to your dickhead 'boss' that he does this too- people like him need others to pull them up on their horrible ways.

flamingoland · 21/12/2014 08:41

just read sue's idea- please do that! I would definitely donate!

YellowFern · 21/12/2014 08:41

Please do something! Sues idea is great.

I believe in karma...imagining what he might have coming to him...

ohtheholidays · 21/12/2014 08:42

Tip a local newspaper of about what he did!

I bet he'd love that pay back, could you imagine the amount of shit he'd get for it.

londonrach · 21/12/2014 08:45

Yes tell bosses wife. Hopefully when his unit comes up for rent renewal they either increase it or let it to another car salesman.

Chandon · 21/12/2014 08:46

Fucker!

PonyoLovesHam · 21/12/2014 08:47

Another one here agreeing with sues idea, I'd also donate!

What an absolute twat he is though. Angry

JennieR60 · 21/12/2014 08:53

What a cunt

DorothyBastard · 21/12/2014 09:00

God that is so sad, you can just imagine how she felt, the humiliation of it all. And just before Christmas too.

musicalendorphins2 · 21/12/2014 09:07

What a stupid ass he is! Do all of these ideas. Re watch 9 to 5, and Addicted to Love, and other revenge films while plotting.

I am off to google how to get revenge.

I want this guy to suffer! How about sending him a fake letter from a fancy solicitor threatening to sue over the promised sum if money plus extra for the inconvenience caused?Wink

Badvocinapeartree · 21/12/2014 09:15

Sue the fucker

GeekLove · 21/12/2014 09:16

I like Sue's idea but there is the danger it could make the women feel like a charity case. It would be a nice form of vengeance.

However, there is a lot of havoc which could be raised with just a pint of milk, his car and the soft furnishings. Just saying....

emms1981 · 21/12/2014 09:20

What a bastard Angry he has issues for sure.
If you see this lady again, if it was me I would get her a bunch of flowers or something (if you are able) and say that you heard what had happened (if you weren't there) and you just wanted to say how cruel he was and that you had been thinking about her.

Hatespiders · 21/12/2014 09:26

The evil bastard should at least give the lady a (large as poss) sum of money as a massive apology, the pig. Hope the Big Boss also feels she needs some goodwill compensation from the firm. What a cruel and wicked thing to do.
The Press would adore to publish this, especially as it's the Christmas season.

I hate and detest 'practical jokes'. A friend in West London was a technical manager for the GPO in the sixties, and was in charge of several telephone exchanges. One night the people on Night Duty in one exchange set up a 'ghost' in a sheet with a scary mask in a dark corner, after telling one chap the place was haunted. He entered one of the gloomy connection-frame areas, saw the 'ghost', had a massive heart-attack and fell down dead. Some joke.

AliceinWinterWonderland · 21/12/2014 09:28

Sorry, but do NOT stoop to his level to pay him back. It will only muddy up the waters when you report his behaviour to your supervisor/boss. IMO it should be reported immediately - then there's no question as to why you sat on it over the holidays (in case he turns it into a question of you getting him back for some other imagined reason) and because then immediate action can then be considered by your boss.

Be professional, even if he isn't. Report it first thing tomorrow and get it over with.

AliceinWinterWonderland · 21/12/2014 09:29

If the big boss is open to the idea, he may give the woman some compensation to cover her distress over this - perhaps the nasty guy's Christmas bonus would cover it? Xmas Grin

fatherpeeweestairmaster · 21/12/2014 09:35

What a total knob.

Just a word of caution: don't let any revenge "banter" look like it might be coming from that poor woman. The last thing she needs is to be hauled over the coals in the new year regarding mysterious smells/damage, etc, esp if it involves food! If your main boss is nice, and would look dimly on this, I'd go quietly to them and say how shocked you were by BanterCunt's behaviour, since the cafe lady's recent troubles seem to be fairly common knowledge, if you know about them? It shows a real lack of judgement, for someone in a customer facing role...

Ifyourawizardwhydouwearglasses · 21/12/2014 09:37

Put dog shit in his shoes.

With a note saying 'Bit of banter for you. Enjoy!'
