Pregnant and going through that horrible off food stage, but occasionally someone talks about something or I see it on tv and it has my mouth watering and appetite suddenly raging. I'm hoping for a few of these-preferably things that are v quick to grab/make as otherwise I could lose my appetite half way through cooking!
Tell me your best and yummiest quick treats (sweet and savoury)please!!

Have the hereditary high cholesterol thing so this is a rare treat but I'm in heaven just imagining eating it. Christmas isn't that far off right?

Norfolkandchance1234 · 22/10/2014 21:43

Dr Kargs ementhal and cheese crackers with cottage cheese and / or a blue or any strong cheese. Strawberry laces, midget gems.

Norfolkandchance1234 · 22/10/2014 21:44

Oh and the frazzle and Philadelphia thing that was mentioned earlier, I so do that.

hiccupgirl · 22/10/2014 21:45

Supernoodles
Hellman's real full fat mayonnaise...I can eat it straight out of the jar
Cheese and marmite on toast

But the absolute best is a slices of string cheddar with ketchup to dip them into.

hiccupgirl · 22/10/2014 21:46

strong cheddar not string!

DollyDreamboat · 22/10/2014 22:06

Clap, no I didn't grow up in one, but I had a housing association flat when my dd was little. But my family were pure working class, and we were the freezer generation - plus my mum was a shit cook Grin

I'm working class through and through. Honestly don't see why that comment makes you feel like shit.

But we are derailing the thread, it's supposed to be light Smile

BoyFromTheBigBadCity · 22/10/2014 22:15

raw pastry. from a packet. squished about.

heinz tomato soup (i sometimes add spinach and grated cheese to be fancy).

scrambled eggs on toast.

cheese n toast, with brown sauce (teeeeeny smear) and a finely chopped slice of onion under cheese, lea&perrins on top.

sausage rolls and pigs in blankets. my idea of a perfect treat is a pack of pigs in blankets, cooked til they're brown and lovely, eaten with fingers dunked in ketchup. A whole pack just for me (Will share if I must).

DollyDreamboat · 22/10/2014 22:16

This thread is making me hungry Angry

TyneTeas · 22/10/2014 22:17

no real sweet tooth before or after being pregnant, but during I regarded cheesecake as a health food - calcium and fruit in one delicious package : )

IHopeYouStepOnALegoPiece · 22/10/2014 22:19

Jacket potato done in the microwave (none of this crispy skin crap!) with butter then a tub of cheese and onion sandwich filler....god it's gorgeous

WorraLiberty · 22/10/2014 22:19

snice · 22/10/2014 22:24

toast with jam and thin slices of cheese

Canyouforgiveher · 22/10/2014 22:35

homemade chips with good blue cheese sprinkled/melted on top (local restaurant does this and I have to avoid going there or I'd be even bigger than I am)

Grilled cheese sandwich done the way Delia smith does it.

Egg and chips

risotto made with homemade chicken stock parmesan and nothing else.

Leftover sausage stuffing and gravy followed by leftover trifle the day after christmas

helenenemo · 22/10/2014 22:55

Chips cheese and curry sauce
Toast with brie squished in the middle
Chicago Town microwave pizza
Poached eggs om toast with ketchup

Ijustworemytrenchcoat · 22/10/2014 22:56

Chovi Allioli heaped on breadsticks. I can eat so much of it, I can smell the garlic on my own breath.

Crisp sandwiches: it has to be sliced white bread spread thickly with butter and salt and vinegar or cheese and onion squares (or Mccoys/Walkers deep ridged will do).

My brother and I used to eat ketchup sandwiches, bleurrgh! Couldn't eat it now if you paid me.
