Pregnant and going through that horrible off food stage, but occasionally someone talks about something or I see it on tv and it has my mouth watering and appetite suddenly raging. I'm hoping for a few of these-preferably things that are v quick to grab/make as otherwise I could lose my appetite half way through cooking!
Tell me your best and yummiest quick treats (sweet and savoury)please!!

Wholemeal brown toast topped with grilled mature cheese and tomato slices, let it bubble and brown.
Brown sauce if you're hardcore.

Cheese on wholemeal toast for me too. Sometimes with sliced tomato, capers and Henderson Relish.

coraltoes · 22/10/2014 20:47

When pregnant I craved synthetic apple... Like you get in mister kilplings apple pies, or supermarket apple puffs etc. not the nice stuff I make at home, proper gunky apple shit.

HemlockStarglimmer · 22/10/2014 20:48

Please add 's onto the end of Henderson.

charlieandlola · 22/10/2014 20:48

Squeegle · 22/10/2014 20:51

Salt and vinegar chipsticks and a glass of cold full fat milk
Enjoyed in bed with a good book!

ClapHandsIfYouBelieveInFatties · 22/10/2014 20:53

I can't laugh at "Council house tea" I'm afraid. It makes me feel like shit and I think people should think again before flashing classism about like that.

HairyMagratsScare · 22/10/2014 20:54

Home made wholemeal roll sliced with a little pot of balsamic vinegar and olive oil. Had it for my breakfast last Saturday and its also good late at night Smile

bodhranbae · 22/10/2014 20:55

Marmite sandwich with cheese and onion crisps in it.
Croissant with nutella.
Humous eaten direct from tub using index finger.
Ribena.

I grew a huge baby eating only that for 9 solid months.

LuisSuarezTeeth · 22/10/2014 20:55

amyhamster · 22/10/2014 20:56

Super noodles

LuisSuarezTeeth · 22/10/2014 20:58

And grapefruit (3 a day) topped with demerera sugar. Blush

amyhamster · 22/10/2014 20:59

When I was pregnant I lived on Philadelphia spread onto a digestive
Eaten lying down until I'd digested it or I'd be sick
I also drank litres of squash & ate cereal bars at work to stop the queasy feeling
It's a ghastly feeling 'morning' sickness when you feel below par all the time but can't tell anyone why!

LuisSuarezTeeth · 22/10/2014 20:59

bod I want that sandwich now. NOW!!!!

Allalonenow · 22/10/2014 21:02

Recently discovered Rachel's Divine Rice pudding, eat it cold with a dollop of Bonne Maman Fruit compote, I like the apricot though the cherry with a bit of sugar added is good too.

I'm eating some now, and thinking it would be a good quick breakfast too. Halloween Grin

StatelyAsAGalleon · 22/10/2014 21:03

Those terrible, grotty, partially cooked racks of ribs....probably from sad pigs, but so mmmm...

LuisSuarezTeeth · 22/10/2014 21:03

Oops sorry I thought I was in Pregnancy cravings!

DollyDreamboat · 22/10/2014 21:04

Oh lighten up Clap, I grew up on a diet of Findus crispy pancakes and oven chips and I had a great childhood. It is classism, but who cares? I'm proud of where I come from.

ProveMeWrong · 22/10/2014 21:04

Toasted slice of bread like baguette or similar, a coating of passata, sprinkle oregano and then mozzarella under the grill. Drizzle of oil when done. Only if husband does it for me though!

If it's me on my own, cheese on toast, Nutella from the tub or home made choc chip biscuits.

CarmineRose1978 · 22/10/2014 21:09

Fried chicken. Cheese on toast. Garlic bread with tomato soup. Dark chocolate bounties. Cheese and onion square crisps. New bread with real butter. Mmmmmm. Just in my 35th week of pregnancy, feeling sick all the time again, and can't actually eat any of that though I'd really like to!

bodhranbae · 22/10/2014 21:12

Luis - Pickled beetroot - pickled fucking beetroot!! - god I love pickled beetroot - why don't I eat more of it?

I grew up in a council house and we called it "site tea" as in building site tea. Strong enough to stand a pencil up in and two sugars.

curlyclaz13 · 22/10/2014 21:15

Frazzels dipped in Philadelphia.

soaccidentprone · 22/10/2014 21:17
