Round 3 folks.

We should arrange an Indyref meet up at this stage. Grin

Maybe for the 19th?

Piffpaffpoff · 28/08/2014 19:24

Yes YABU. I have voted and now want to hear no more about it. Wink

FannyFifer · 28/08/2014 19:25

Ha. No changing your mind now eh. :)

Lucky you - it's going to be along wait until the 18th...

Piffpaffpoff · 28/08/2014 19:28

I'm just going to put my fingers in my ears and go la la la, while making another trip to the recycling bin with the latest forest of letters and leaflets about it.

FannyFifer · 28/08/2014 19:29

Put a poster up saying fuck of I've already voted.

Roll on the 19th. Work day out then so will either be drowning my sorrows or celebrating Smile That's if I don't fall asleep mid day as I doubt I will geuch sleep on the Thursday night.

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 28/08/2014 19:30

I've not had a single leaflet from either side - pretty obvious which way the household is voting though, maybe they just don't bother.

OldLadyKnowsSomething · 28/08/2014 19:32

I've had leaflets through the door, but only the ones the postie brings. No canvassers, but then I live on a farm and even the JW don't venture here.

FannyFifer · 28/08/2014 19:33

I still put leaflets through if there are yes posters up, usually knock them in, have a blether & see if I can get more recruits.

Are you a farmer old lady?

I've seen Twibbons for those who've voted, a poster for your window would save you being hassled. Maybe avoid the F word though?

Good point about leaflet recycling - should we be worried about sticker companies going bankrupt?

PacificDogwood · 28/08/2014 19:35

Ha! I managed to miss the whole 2nd Indyref thread - deliberately!

My postal ballot papers arrived today, I have not looked at them yet. Still dithering with Yes leanings here.

We've had no leaflets Confused - is our vote not valued?!

OOAOML · 28/08/2014 19:35

We had religious people round the other week - years since that happened, I wonder if people think they are referendum campaigners?

prettybird · 28/08/2014 19:39

To whoever it was on the previous thread who said they want to go to the Shetlands: they get very upset mildly narky when you say that fell into that trap myself - it's Shetland or the Shetland Islands. Smile

AFewFallenLeaves · 28/08/2014 19:44

Jumping on board new thread.

Sorry to see Jim Murphy was also being called "A Tory". Could it get any worse for the poor "nearly a vegan" victim of egg chucker? (This is why I abandoned party politics before I left my teens: I'd have cried with indignation and looked a right wally.)

WildThong · 28/08/2014 19:46

Marking my place too, such an interesting thread and no ones been called a cunt yet Grin

OldLadyKnowsSomething · 28/08/2014 19:47

I'm not a farmer, fanny, just live in a farmhouse. Big, draughty, high ceilings and cattle in the garden at least once a year... Grin

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 28/08/2014 19:49

WildThong That could be a negative thing, in Glasgow "ya cunt" is practically a term of endearment.

WildThong · 28/08/2014 19:49

Agree afew I think that behaviour will turn people against the Yes campaign. There is a mob squealing and whistling outside at the David Cameron speech too. I must add I totally abhor this type of stuff whichever side.

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 28/08/2014 19:50

What do folks think about the CBI thing? IMO it is ridiculous that a) they aren't registered and that b) the BBC who is meant to be impartial, hasn't resigned from them.

squoosh · 28/08/2014 19:52

I've had squllions of leaflets. Squillions.

OldLadyKnowsSomething · 28/08/2014 19:54

CBI thing all very sus, claiming it was the office tea boy wot dun it, and it now transpires that actually some very senior people were involved in extensive discussions before they registered. Hmm And yes, the BBC should have left, so much for impartiality.

I had our MP round. At least he said he was. (I'd never seen him before in my life. Grin)
