I'm at my mum's. she lives on a a fairly narrow hill, you can park on the road but it's best if you park half on the pavement. I'm going camping for the weekend with friends who are coming to pick me up in an hour. I've just popped to the shops for supplies of crisps and wine and some cheeky bugger has parked on my mum's drive.

I've text all my family and no one has any knowledge of this car. Would I be a total arse to just reverse onto the drive right upto their bumper and leave my car there for the weekend? I really don't want to leave my car half on the pavement for a whole weekend. A few of the NDNs have double buggies and there won't be enough room for them to pass. I also don't want to leave my shiny lovely car under the tree on the road cos it will be covered in bird poo and tree sap when I get back.

Mum is also away this weekend too so I can't even leave the keys. Grrrrrr.

Need update!!!

CaptainHammer · 15/08/2014 17:04

Place marking. I hate inconsiderate/ridiculous parking!

Magnolia1975 · 15/08/2014 17:05

Hope the OP hasn't forgotten this thread!

londonrach · 15/08/2014 17:06

I think she's going camping.... When did she say she be back

PrimalLass · 15/08/2014 17:06

Come on OP. Update please.

Misssss · 15/08/2014 17:09

I'm back! I went into town with a mate had a good meal and hunted for a Frozen Anna doll (If anyone has seen one in West Yorkshire please let me know!) We're setting off to the camp at six now as yet another undecided has now decided to join us.

The fucking car is still there, nosy NDN -1 has been on the lookout and she says no one has been back to it. My sister is here now and she has been looking out and also called non emergency police, they are going to call back. They took the reg number and ake and model.

WTF seriously who would do this? I'm beginning to think someone has confused mum's house with another. There are no obvious numbers the house and a few of the neighbours - the doors are at the side.

Sorry for the lack of real update. I'm going to sit at the window for the next hour and wait patiently for car cunt to appear so I can vent at him/her. Hopefully they come before I'm gone - would I be a twat to not go so I can shout at car cunt when they appear?

Have you blocked cunt-car in for the moment? Please say you have!

RandomFriend · 15/08/2014 17:12

You would be a twat to miss the camping trip for the pleasure of shouting at car cunt.

SirChenjin · 15/08/2014 17:14

How can you even think of going camping at a time like this?? Don't be ridiculous Misssss

TheHouseatWhoCorner · 15/08/2014 17:14

Oh, the silence from OP is worrying. What could have happened?

nocoolnamesleft · 15/08/2014 17:15

How are your computer skills? Any chance you could mock up a hefty parking fine to attach to the windscreen?

Misssss · 15/08/2014 17:16

Yeah my car is in front of the alien car. I know, I'm not going to miss it, really, I'm just pissed off that someone has done this and I'm now spoiling for a fight! Plus this car is much more expensive than ours - passing buglars might think we're wealthy and get ideas. There has been a spate of houses being broken into and car keys/cars stolen recently round here.

Misssss · 15/08/2014 17:17

Nocoolnamesleft - I'm learning to use photoshop at the moment! I could try and put my skills to work!

OP posts:
SirChenjin · 15/08/2014 17:19

You don't even need Photoshop - just google parking fines images and lo! by the wonders of modern technology there's a wonderful selection just waiting to be printed off!

chipsandpeas · 15/08/2014 17:19

place marking as well

NerfHerder · 15/08/2014 17:20

It's a bit odd, isn't it?
I cannot imagine parking on someone's private driveway, unless they lived opposite an A&E and everywhere was double-yellows, and I had a dire emergency!

Fruityb · 15/08/2014 17:21

But surely if they had the wrong house they wouldn't have just left their car there while they found the right one! I'm dying to know!

Misssss · 15/08/2014 17:26

Exactly! It's weird. There is a nursing home round the corner but it has a carpark and I think you can park on the road next to it. Down the road there is a mill type building that houses little "cottage industry" type businessn (think bunting, shabby chic furniture and cupcakes.) but they are generally mail order and you can park on the road there too.

I'm starting to get less pissed off and more baffled. Maybe because it's a vair posh car they thought it better to park it on a drive. clutches straws

Medibeagle · 15/08/2014 17:28

Are you in the AA? Tell them you are locked out of the car on you drive and they will break in and then you can wheel it down the road

HermioneWeasley · 15/08/2014 17:28

Marking my place!
