I'm at my mum's. she lives on a a fairly narrow hill, you can park on the road but it's best if you park half on the pavement. I'm going camping for the weekend with friends who are coming to pick me up in an hour. I've just popped to the shops for supplies of crisps and wine and some cheeky bugger has parked on my mum's drive.

I've text all my family and no one has any knowledge of this car. Would I be a total arse to just reverse onto the drive right upto their bumper and leave my car there for the weekend? I really don't want to leave my car half on the pavement for a whole weekend. A few of the NDNs have double buggies and there won't be enough room for them to pass. I also don't want to leave my shiny lovely car under the tree on the road cos it will be covered in bird poo and tree sap when I get back.

Mum is also away this weekend too so I can't even leave the keys. Grrrrrr.

Aretha what did you buy???Wine

Itsfab · 15/08/2014 17:51

Maybe someone has been taken ill and had to dump the car?

I would approach in a calm and friendly manner and then kill them if not a justified reason for parking there.

Job done.

If not please can she use your account over the weekend

McBear · 15/08/2014 17:52

I'm devastated there's no final answer. Can't believe someone would be so brass necked.

What did the police say?

I'd find out if it's legal to clamp and do so. If they're cheeky enough then so am I Smile

I've just been out for a walk, got drenched and thought an update to this thread would cheer me right up. In the event of cunty alien parking Pratt turning up, could you stick a firework up his tail pipe? Now THAT would work Grin

ClashCityRocker · 15/08/2014 17:53

Watch it, there's going to be a real good valid life or death reason why the cars there, and we're all going to feel like a pack of twats.

If it's abandoned and no one claims it, do you get to keep it? I'm sure you do if it's not reclaimed.

Ooh hope you've blocked them in and gone off OP.

vestandknickers · 15/08/2014 18:08

Maybe it belongs to a jewel thief who has abandoned it and got on a plane to Rio forever.

In which case after seven years it will legally be yours.

IwishIwasmoreorganised · 15/08/2014 18:09
