And wonder why lots of men appear to think it is.

I've been sent 4 photos of cocks in the last 4 days obviously I have given no invitation and haven't asked or suggested people send me pictures like this. And it has been pretty much within the first 2/3 texts after handing over my number intending to arrange a date.

Is this some new practise I'm unaware of?

Could be worse, OP - receiving a dick pic during a date.

Will stop posting links now Blush

OiMissus · 27/07/2014 20:03

This thread is hilarious, I had no idea this thing went on.
I'm recently separated, so not thinking about dating yet, but is this really going to be my future?!?!
It's such a shame that young women are growing up to believe that this kind of filth is acceptable and normal.
If someone, in the future, sends me a pic of their (flaccid!?!??? Or otherwise) cock, I think I'll respond with, "thank fuck i haven't arranged to meet up with you. If you think it's acceptable to "virtually" flash at me, would you think it acceptable to rape me on a date?"
It's a bit OTT, I know, but maybe a response something like this could make them think twice about doing it again.
... No. Of course it wouldn't. The type of morons who send cock portraits don't actually think, do they?
Jeebers.
So maybe a "I'm sorry, I can't possibly continue to chat with you, I find your taste in duvet/wallpaper/carpets most disagreeable."

riskit4abiskit · 27/07/2014 20:21

Wish someone had sent me one now I feel quite unfashionable. Love the critique my dickpic site linked above

Keepsake · 27/07/2014 20:23

Once I got a dick pic from a guy I'd planned on meeting from online dating. His dick was gross. Didn't go on the date.

Glad I found out beforehand, rather than coming face to face with it a couple of weeks/months down the line!

Smilesandpiles · 27/07/2014 20:23

Riskit (I know where you got your NN from)

You're not missing out on a lot. Grin

IfNotNowThenWhen · 27/07/2014 21:40

Wait...they send pics of flaccid dicks???!!
Was it just me who assumed they would be erect?
Surely the 0.01 % of women who would recieve a dick pic and go "wahey!" wouldn't be interested in floppy todgers?
Interestingly, I have did once see a flasher, and his was also flaccid.
Never got a cock shot though, and dated online lots. Not for a couple of years though..It's a very weird phenomenon.

SevenZarkSeven · 27/07/2014 22:01

Nope IfNot, not just you.

I am at a total loss to understand why anyone would send a photo of a flaccid dick. I mean. Just. Why?

Is it because they've got small ones and it would be patently obvious if they were aroused?

How the fuck does a man hope to entice a woman into thinking yeah I want to get me some of that with a soft one? I simply assumed that the pics would be of gents sporting impressive erections.

People are weird. Like, really weird.

I am going with the akin to flashing theory. Cos then it's not about the woman being interested at all. Which clearly she won't be when presented with a picture of a flaccid cock Confused

OiMissus · 27/07/2014 22:01

I've just noticed the OP's name.
Do you want the socks to do a cover-up?! Smile

Aeroflotgirl · 27/07/2014 22:12

Oh God keeper that is bloody disgusting, that would have cut that one very short. Why! Why the hell does anyone think its ok to send a person they hardly know a dick picture, and one of them with poo hanging out of their bum Envy

NeedsAsockamnesty · 27/07/2014 22:12

I'm actually contemplating going back to my previous lets not bother dating anyone ever stance on the matter

This thread is making me really laugh :o BUT I agree that it can be upsetting for people. I would be furious at the thought of a young girl receiving a picture like this.

Don't give up on OD. I was a prolific ODer and met DH on Match.com. Many messages and many dates with many men and they were in the main disappointingly normal :) A few chancers who got short shrift but never a single cock picture. The one rudish email I ever got led to a tongue-lashing (screen-lashing?) and I reported him to Match. Mind you, this was a few years ago now so maybe things have changed.

kickassangel · 27/07/2014 23:07

Probably the only way to stop it would be to use financial power. If every woman who received a cock pic left the dating site immediately, then they would become just sites for men sending each other cock pics and would just lose income.

The sites are more likely to take action if they lose money than any chance if this being criminalized or dating sites responding to complaints but no action.

We could call it the withdrawal method.

FreudiansSlipper · 27/07/2014 23:13

good idea kickass

it makes me sad that so many have brushed it off as it's the norm these days or seems like everyone is doing it

no they are not but if we keep making excuses for it sadly more will think this is what everyone does and join in and those that are getting a kick out of it will get away with it

its grim think is this how we want our children to be behaving

One of the girls in my work got sent one, she said she gets them all the time..she had really been looking forward to going on a date with him..we had all heard so much about him, thinking yes maybe this could be something good for her..then, the silly twat sent her a pic of his cock which in her words was like an overdone sausage with the skin hanging off the end! Mm nice. No date of course. Why some men think women will go weak at the knees at that is beyond me. Why..just why?

I also got bluetoothed a video of a guy having a wank in his back garden. I was on the bus at the time and silly me accepted it when it came through on my phone ( scuse the pun Grin ).
It was disgusting and he had horrible brown pointy shoes on. God technology has so much to answer for.

CarryOnDancing · 27/07/2014 23:41

Grin Bunbaker I love that you are considering the authenticity of these photos. As you say, they could just get the pics off the Internet Grin it's a very odd marketing campaign though!

Morloth · 27/07/2014 23:53

You can laugh at a man so pathetic that he thinks this is a good plan and also the penis is a ridiculous looking piece of equipment.

ChanelNumber19 · 27/07/2014 23:56

oh dear. a clip of somebody wanking? words fail me.

fanjobiscuits · 27/07/2014 23:59

YABU. Who wouldn't be charmed by a nice, juicy cock ?

santasballsackisnolonger · 28/07/2014 00:18

I have reported someone for sending my DD pictures of his very erect penis the police are taking it very seriously I half expected to be fobbed off!

NeedsAsockamnesty · 28/07/2014 00:30

I should hope they would santa I'm assuming if you had to report it then your dd is a minor child

Christ I suspected it was bad but not this bad Confused Do they really think that upon receiving a pic like this a woman is going to think. "OMG I must have you now"

25 years ago when I was working at a garden centre the managers and other shop assistants told me what happened to my predecessor. She got flashed at one morning on the way to work and apparently her reply to him was "You couldn't fuck a Polo mint with that"

12 years ago while working in a sex chatline office the callers sometimes used to send photos of themselves in to us. Cant recall receiving any cock pictures but had plenty of pics of blokes wearing frilly pink knickers and suspenders etc sent to me and the other women working there so our Mistress personas could discipline them.

This is just one of the reasons I would never internet date. I joined a support forum the Xmas before last for support on a personal issue ive often talked about on these boards and some bloke PMed me asking for a "legs apart" photo I told him no way He said "Ah you are one of the nice women" (Madonna/whore complex there I suspect) I deregged immediately.

Internet dating is SO not for me.

ThePrisonerOfAzkaban · 28/07/2014 01:29

Just reply nice ST I going on there, think you need to go down the GUM clinic

ScrambledEggAndToast · 28/07/2014 07:12

Yup, I used to get this when I did OD. Do women send pics of their bits after 3 texts/emails, or is it just a male thing? Surely women wouldn't be that silly??!! Grin

Morloth · 28/07/2014 09:42

I can only assume men who do this have never moved past the little boy phase of being impressed with their willy and thinking everyone else will be as well.

Numpties.
