Apologies for the daily mail link and apologies if its already been done, I did have a quick look and couldn't see anything.

An old work friend posted the video of this on Facebook last night and it is horrendous... (And this absolutely doesn't excuse it) but she thought she was doing it for a holiday, but it turned out to be for a drink.

I feel so sorry for her parents (and for her actually)..

I think the rep who organised this 'game' should face prosecution...

there is no rape involved here clearly.
it is disgusting that anyone would come up with this as an idea to win a drink. the rep should lose their job over this. the bar shouldn't have allowed it to happen.

I have been as drunk as the next person as have all my friends throughout the years but I have never known someone who would do this for a drink or a holiday. I think she was very stupid to do it and if the only reason she did it was because she was that drunk she should never get that drunk again. there are horrible people out there and the only person responsible for your safety is yourself.

the men were equally disgraceful in this but I doubt they will find themselves judged as harshly as the girl.

glasgowstevenagain · 04/07/2014 15:12

MrsW - should she be prosecuted?

Should the males?

Sirzy · 04/07/2014 15:12

Talk of rape is rediculous IMO.

Everyone involved was wrong in my opinion. The men and the woman as well as the organisers and those who stood by and watched.

LaurieFairyCake · 04/07/2014 15:13

Because 'assault by penetration' is the actual term and it usually means 'oral rape'

She is not clearly guilty of a number of sexual assaults as she is suffering diminished capacity due to being under the influence and is suffering 24 'assaults by penetration' at the same time.

glasgowstevenagain · 04/07/2014 15:13

She will learn from this.

It is a tough lesson, but hopefully it wont ruin her life

MrsWinnibago · 04/07/2014 15:14

Steve she was deceived whilst drunk....no. She should not be prosecuted and nor should the men involved. Whoever organised it should be though.

Just because you disagree with the law doesn't mean that it's not law.

She is too drunk to consent, therefore criminal offences are being committed.

Was this rape?

fledermaus · 04/07/2014 15:15

The organisers sound most culpable here.

MrsWinnibago · 04/07/2014 15:16

steve when you used the phrase "Hungry for their cock" you lost all credibility on this discussion.

I reccommend everyone ignore Steve's input from now on. DON'T engage with him as he's looking for trouble. Don't feed it.

glasgowstevenagain · 04/07/2014 15:16

Laurie if the males were drunk, then who is to say she is not guilty.

Again.

If you were drunk and a drunk man put his head up your skirt and licked you, would you be guilty or would he?

LaurieFairyCake · 04/07/2014 15:16

You are disgusting using the term 'hungry for their cock' when she is clearly drunk Angry

What a revolting little man you are. I note that many of your posts are like this.

LongTimeLurking · 04/07/2014 15:16

I mean the people saying this is rape against her are crazy here. She was aggressively pursuing these men; unzipping their trousers off, pulling their cocks out and so on.

She was clearly not so drunk that she didn't know what she was doing or was being forced in anyway.

You could turn the argument and say some of these guy may have been drunk and pressured into partaking here as well.

But here in alternative reality, aka MN, women like this never have to take any responsibility, are always a victim and the male is always the aggressor.

MrsWinnibago · 04/07/2014 15:17

Laurie do as I suggest and DO NOT engage with Steve anymore. He'll derail the thread and is trolling. Report me if you like...he is best ignored.

glasgowstevenagain · 04/07/2014 15:18

I appreciate that was not the best phrase to use.

I used that phrase as that was the only one I could think of to describe her actions to those who had not seen the victim.

She was not lying passed out drunk where 24 guys put their penises in her mouth.

She was an active participant aggressively looking to up the numbers!

^^^^^

In MN world, the poor drunk girl......

glasgowstevenagain · 04/07/2014 15:19

Call me a troll if you will....

She was not subject to multiple rapes!

Anyone who has seen the video will know that!

sixlittleblighters · 04/07/2014 15:22

I feel very sorry for her parents, not for her though.Who would do that even for a holiday?
Talk of sexual assault is rubbish.she is the assaulter if anything

andmyunpopularopionis · 04/07/2014 15:25

I really cannot get my head around the number if people that are happy for everyone involved to get blamed except the person who committed the act. Because she was drunk, and I seriously doubt that was not self inflicted, she is absolved from all responsibility for her actions. It was someone else's fault. Why? Simply because she's a woman?

That's NOT equality. That's fucking sexist! I think her behaviour was disgusting and being drunk is no excuse and as sure as hell shouldn't mean she was not responsible. Irresponsible yes.

I do think that the Internet does not help. And don't think its fair that's its made headline news. I do think the rep and the bar should be investigated. Wha they did and allowed was wrong. However she is NOT an innocent bystander and it's an insult to real rape victims, to label this behaviour as rape.

When you lump things like this in with real rape what do you think that acheives? Do you not see the negative impact of that to the actual fight against rape. To education against it?

spence82 · 04/07/2014 15:25

I've not seen the video myself but a colleague was talking about it today saying the announcer on the video can be heard saying she's only x number away from her free drink so is this free holiday thing true?

Sirzy · 04/07/2014 15:27

I would also question her 'friends' even at 18 if one of my friends (or even someone I vaguley knew) was considering taking part in something like that I would have stopped them even if it meant dragging them out kicking and screaming.

glasgowstevenagain · 04/07/2014 15:27

I suspect the free holiday story is true

thecageisfull · 04/07/2014 15:28

But what was she too drunk to consent to?

If a drunk woman pulls up my skirt with her own hands , pushes my knickers to one side and sucks on my clit, have I assaulted her? Is it different if I had a penis? Is it different if I am drunk too? Does standing and watching her do it to other people before she does it to me make me culpable? Is it different if a drunk man gives me oral sex?

Finally some sense!
