Apologies for the daily mail link and apologies if its already been done, I did have a quick look and couldn't see anything.

An old work friend posted the video of this on Facebook last night and it is horrendous... (And this absolutely doesn't excuse it) but she thought she was doing it for a holiday, but it turned out to be for a drink.

I feel so sorry for her parents (and for her actually)..

I think the rep who organised this 'game' should face prosecution...

OP posts:
TheFairyCaravan · 04/07/2014 15:31

I've seen the video, for the same reason as the OP.

If telling the men to "come on", asking them to pull their trousers down and helping them to do so is rape, then god help a lot of men.

She was not so drunk she was stumbling around, she was not slurring her words, she knew what she was doing.

She has been taken advantage of. I would be disgusted and furious if either of my sons had been involved. The reps have gone too far, the clubs have gone too far, but she went too far too. That does not mean I do not feel incredibly sorry for her.

Oh, and her boob was falling out of the side of her top because the arm holes went down to her waist and she had no bra on. If you were stone cold sober they wouldn't stay in!

BackOnlyBriefly · 04/07/2014 15:33

I think it's vile and I hope the rep loses his job.

I didn't watch it. but if as implied she went around performing a sex act on the men who were just sitting there it's ridiculous to say she was assaulted 24 times. Not even sure what law you could use against the rep really though I'd look for one.

Not that I'd have a high opinion of the men who went along with it, but without medical evidence to the contrary they could have been more drunk than she was.

I know someone will say "oh but that's no excuse" but there are posters who would say that even if the man were unconscious.

I know this will be unpopular with some too, but I don't think getting drunk is a good idea for anyone of any age or gender. You throw out the limits that make us civilised when you do so this kind of thing will keep happening.

glasgowstevenagain · 04/07/2014 15:34

Lets not blame the way she dressed!

tethersend · 04/07/2014 15:34

How is giving someone a blowjob 'disgusting?'

Is it 'disgusting' to give one man a blowjob? Two? Three?

Is it 'disgusting' for a man to go down on a woman? Two women? Three? Should he be ashamed too?

When does it become 'disgusting'?

If there's no romance involved?

If other people can see?

Are prostitutes 'disgusting'?

There is only one thing in this situation which disgusts me- the deception and humiliation of a young girl to get a cheap laugh.

TheFairyCaravan · 04/07/2014 15:36

I'm not blaming the way she was dressed, glasgowsteve I am referring to,the fact that the OP said the girl was so drunk her boob was falling out of the side of her top, which was not true!

glasgowstevenagain · 04/07/2014 15:36

This poster speaks the truth!

BackOnlyBriefly · 04/07/2014 15:37

To be clear, tethersend, that's the bit I find vile really. Tricking her and laughing at her.

Not my sort of thing, but if it were properly agreed in advance that would be up to the people involved.

glasgowstevenagain · 04/07/2014 15:37

Apologies fairy

It was popping out because she had no bra and was at all sorts of funny angles!

LaurieFairyCake · 04/07/2014 15:37

She looks like she is very drunk to me.

The onus is on people to check the other person is consenting - if you're in a bar, people are saying she's really drunk, she is seen to be drinking heavily, she is giving alcohol to drink 'down in one' in a drinking game it is reasonable to assume someone is intoxicated.

And if someone is intoxicated then people should stay away from having sex as it's very difficult to determine that sexual consent is given.

In fact it's presumed in the first place that while intoxicated consent isn't given.

There's a whole page explaining this on www.cps.gov.uk/legal/p_to_r/rape_and_sexual_offences/consent/#a03

glasgowstevenagain · 04/07/2014 15:40

Did she check that the males were consenting!

Softlysoftlycatchymonkey · 04/07/2014 15:42

I actually don't know what to make off it other than it's terribly sad.

I've seen what some young girls will do with out a drink in them. Those pictures went viral too.

Not many people will do this kind of shit with drink in them, it does take a some one with incredibly low self esteem and low self worth to do it.

GarlicJulyKit · 04/07/2014 15:44

She has two potential grounds for rape.

  1. If the complainant is very drunk, the defendant cannot claim reasonable belief in consent.
  1. If she wasn't too drunk to consent, her consent was conditional and she has a case of deception:

For these purposes conditional consent refers to allegations of sexual offences in which it is said that ostensible consent was not true consent, either because of a material deception (other than one which falls within section 76 of the Sexual Offences Act 2003) or because a condition on which consent was given was not complied with.

Section 76: (a)the defendant intentionally deceived the complainant as to the nature or purpose of the relevant act

www.cps.gov.uk/legal/p_to_r/rape_and_sexual_offences/consent/#a04

I reckon she could do the rep for deception and the rapists for reasonable belief. I hope she does.

gertiegusset · 04/07/2014 15:45

Absolutely what Tethersend said, poor girl.

gertiegusset · 04/07/2014 15:47

And her poor family, they're the one's who are going to have to support her in what I can only imagine is awful distress.

glasgowstevenagain · 04/07/2014 15:48

I reckon she could do the rep for deception and the rapists for reasonable belief. I hope she does.

The rapists!

as a number of PP have said she was the aggressor!

If a drunk male was to perform oral sex on a drunk female which one would be the rapist?

mercifulgibbon · 04/07/2014 15:48

I've seen the video. Every single guy either had his cock out ready or pulled down his own trousers and held it towards her.

Does that affect the opinions of those accusing her of rape?

glasgowstevenagain · 04/07/2014 15:48

And her poor family, they're the one's who are going to have to support her in what I can only imagine is awful distress

In 2014 britian she may end up in a Lads mag, dating a footballer and on celeb big brother...

glasgowstevenagain · 04/07/2014 15:49

Every single guy either had his cock out ready or pulled down his own trousers and held it towards her.

Every single guy!

Are you sure.....

she assisted in undoing a few belts and buckles

mercifulgibbon · 04/07/2014 15:51

She may have assisted, but every one of them was involved with opening their own trousers and everyone of them held their penis towards her mouth.

glasgowstevenagain
No one here cares if the men involved were too drunk to consent or were pressured into joining in by the woman or others there.

How anyone can claim this woman was raped is beyond me. She was actively seeking out men to suck off and pulling their pants down.

If the men had been chasing her around the room demanding she get her knickers off then of course it would be a completely different situation!

Double standards.

I do feel sorry for her that this has hit the media and gone viral as most people get to forget their bad/embarrassing/shameful behaviour.

But at the same time I feel she has no one to blame but herself.

glasgowstevenagain · 04/07/2014 15:53

Garlic

By your argument

She has two potential grounds for rape.

  1. If the complainant is very drunk, the defendant cannot claim reasonable belief in consent.
  1. If she wasn't too drunk to consent, her consent was conditional and she has a case of deception:

so if a drunk male was to perform oral sex on a drunk female which one would be the rapist - the female

refuse to engage all you wish, your assertion is beyond belief and a number of other PPs agree.

She was not raped or assualted, she was misled and exploited.

No one comes out of this situation well!

glasgowstevenagain · 04/07/2014 15:55

longtime

As you have clearly seen the video, I agree totally with what you say, I was trying to use the argument that if anyone was assaulted it was the men.

But if you actually did watch her aggressively pursue each male, and literally assist in the undressing, she was not a poor girl, passed out with a number of men assaulting her

MyChemicalGerard · 04/07/2014 16:05

She performed sex acts for a holiday...that is the definition of prostitution and actually she can be prosecuted for it by the spanish police. I also have little sympathy, anyone who willing goes out and drinks themselves stupid is exactly that. Stupid.

LongTimeLurking · 04/07/2014 16:06

Yes I did watch the video... morbid curiosity I'm afraid. And she was literally going from man to man and being quite aggressive about it. A man who behaved in that way would (perhaps rightly) be called sexually aggressive and predatory.

I have to say none of the men looked like they were particularly enjoying the experience either. Hence I am inclined to think that if anything, they were all too drunk to be making sensible decisions and will all be ashamed of the way they behaved.

However that does not make it rape. And by MN definitions if it were rape then the men would have to be the victims here.
