I never judge anyone cos I think that's just wrong but there's a mum in the baby groups I go to about four . She's got a toddler and a newborn her mother comes to help as well but it always seems she's never with her toddler just her baby and today she was with the other young babies mums bit of the group and her toddler climb on a chair t
So he can see his mum then run towards her but in sec she ushered her mum over to get him . I think that's really bad I would never do that . What do you all think ? Am I bang on or just being a bitch

She's got a newborn, cut her some slack & stop judging!

Icimoi · 30/05/2014 20:58

For someone who never judges anyone, you sure seem judgmental to me.

Maybe she's got a thing. I don't know. She might spend all the rest of the time listening to him, playing with him and engaging and teaching him and making him pea it butter sandwiches which he never eats and wiping up spilt milk off the carpet so when she goes to playgroup its a chance for her to have some time with the baby while the toddler plays safely in the vicinity.

WorraLiberty · 30/05/2014 21:00

Dear god above...

Has it not occurred to you that she brings her Mum along to take care of the toddler?

passmethewineplease · 30/05/2014 21:00

Sorry thought you said you didn't judge?

Maybe reread your post and see if that's true.

You're seeing a snippet of her life.

Calling someone you don't know a bad mum is extremely judgemental btw.

Why do you even notice or care???

UriGeller · 30/05/2014 21:01

That's peanut butter. I've no idea what pea it butter would be.

EatDessertFirst · 30/05/2014 21:01

You answered you own question. Its none of your business.

Sorry but YABVU judging this mum you don't know. She might bring her mum for some support with her busy toddler. I would have loved that kind of support.

Its people like you with with your judgey looks that stopped me going to baby/toddler groups.

HTH

So am bad for thinking that she's a bad mother cos she d rather spend time with other mums then her toddler I could never to that to my kids we live in a small village I see her all about never with him just with her newborn

You sound like an obsessed stalker. Why are you watching and reporting this woman's every move.

fingersonbuzzers · 30/05/2014 21:04

wibble.

RabbitSaysWoof · 30/05/2014 21:04

Maybe he is happier playing indoors with grandma when you see her out and about running her boring errands

WorraLiberty · 30/05/2014 21:04

FFS what's wrong with granny offering to come along and take care of one of the kids, while the mother takes care of the other one??

How on earth can you conclude she's a 'bad mother' just from that?

It would be like us reading your badly typed posts on this thread and concluding that you've had a very poor education.

When if fact there could be any number of reasons for it.

EatDessertFirst · 30/05/2014 21:04

No. You are bad for calling someone a bad mum when you don't know her situation.

Embolio · 30/05/2014 21:04

Jeeeez. I have toddler and baby (no longer newborn) toddler would like my attention 24/7, baby would not get a look in if he had his way. Toddler group is a safe environment where the mum can get a bit of time with baby and help from her mum. It sounds harsh but they have to learn to share you. I'm guessing you only have one child. You've no idea what she's like the rest of the time!

EatDessertFirst · 30/05/2014 21:06

You are also bad because your grammar and spelling are shocking. As Worra points out, we could all judge this is due to a poor education. Or just laziness.

How do you like it?

GiveTwoSheets · 30/05/2014 21:06

Your just being a bitch. Well you did ask.

i would look at it this way, its great that she's got her mum to come along to watch her toddler as some parents at these groups see it as a place just to sit on your arse and chat letting kids run riot.

And Ffs she has a newborn, we not all jumping through hoops after just having a baby.

JohnFarleysRuskin · 30/05/2014 21:07

String her up.

I often judge but can't see anything bad here.

Embolio · 30/05/2014 21:07

Maybe toddler is in nursery some days when you see her out, or tantrums while shopping, or she finds it hard to wrangle them both at present. Really, its awful to call her a bad mother.

Mrsjayy · 30/05/2014 21:07

You are being really quite bitchy maybe that is the onky time the woman has a chance to sit down I think its nice granny goes along I am sure he was fine

SquallyShowers · 30/05/2014 21:07

My mum used to come everywhere with me when I had a baby and a toddler, because I wasnt that confident and found it very hard. She really supported me through those difficult early days. Thank god for my lovely mum!

You sound extremely mean spirited, OP.

CrohnicallyHungry · 30/05/2014 21:08

You know nothing about this woman. I suffer with depression and when I am with my mum I often let her take over with toddler DD so I can chat and recharge my batteries a little. This woman might be the same, especially with a newborn (thinking PND).
