Every time a UKIP person speaks, they want to say rape within marriage is ok, Lenny Henry should go back to Black Land, bit too scared to stand in a by election just now...yet

PEOPLE ARE STILL DESPERATE TO VOTE FOR THEM.

What hope is there? Humanity is as truly doomed as ever.

you cannot shut me down by calling me an racist.
The very fact that you are here shows that you are not being shut down.
So, what about their other policies, how do you feel about congregate communities for the disabled, the removal of special needs teaching. The removal of (yet more) benefits from the least able in society?
How do you feel about the extraordinary lack of education policies, and where there are some, how do you feel about them, the out of date teaching of history, for example?

Rebecca2014 · 03/05/2014 13:11

In the EU it is unrestricted immigration.

You should think WHY so many people are voting for UKIP instead of name calling out of fear.

JennyPiccolo · 03/05/2014 13:14

'Protest' vote is bullshit. Why not vote green then?

Rebecca2014 · 03/05/2014 13:14

dawndonnaagain UKIP will never come into power so I do not care about their other policies, even Nigel Farage has said himself he does not want to be pm.

It is an protest vote.

BIWI · 03/05/2014 13:16

Ah, Rebecca, but you didn't say that, did you?

And the idea of being in the EU is that anyone can live/work in another EU country. So all those British people who live in their lovely second homes in Spain are free to do so. And so could you, if you wanted. What's wrong with that?

OTheHugeManatee · 03/05/2014 13:17

I think I may have posted on the wrong thread Grin

As you were, folks.

Rebecca2014 · 03/05/2014 13:22

Yes but how many people will choose to live in the poorer EU countries? it is not fair and that is the problem.

dawndonnaagain · 03/05/2014 13:23

Rubbish UKIP arguments

dawndonnaagain · 03/05/2014 13:24

There are currently more unemployed UK citizens in Spain, than all the EU immigrants claiming benefits in the UK combined.

One of my favourite bits of information.

windchime · 03/05/2014 13:40

I live in Norfolk and I am amazed by the amount of farmers who have put up UKIP signs. Their bloody crops would not be harvested if it wasn't for all the cheap Polish labour they employ during the season.

BIWI · 03/05/2014 13:40

Rebecca - I don't think Spain is exactly one of the richer countries, given all the financial problems they have had. And Greece, one of the most struggling ones, has a fair few Brits who live and work there.

BIWI · 03/05/2014 13:43

I'm not really sure what you construe as being 'unfair' Rebecca2014? Are you worried about all those poor countries who aren't seeing immigration from the UK?

you might like to read this article which points out that emigration and immigration are pretty well balanced.

So what is unfair, exactly?

claig · 03/05/2014 13:44

'There are currently more unemployed UK citizens in Spain, than all the EU immigrants claiming benefits in the UK combined.'

Is there a link for that? Are these UK citizens in Spain claiming unemployment benefit or are they pensioners who are not working because they have retired?

claig · 03/05/2014 13:45

Can't read the FT if not a subscriber. What figures do they give?

dawndonnaagain · 03/05/2014 13:46

It's in the link I posted above Claig.

RufusTheReindeer · 03/05/2014 13:49

dawn

Question still stands as the article doesn't answer it

All it says is unemployed not claiming unemployment benefit

RufusTheReindeer · 03/05/2014 13:52

Although I have probably missed something obvious Grin

I usually do!

claig · 03/05/2014 13:54

You haven't missed anything. Everybody knows that most Brits living in Spain are retired and therefore not working or seeking employment, but the author does not mention that. They are also mainly property owners who use their UK capital, sell up in the UK and buy properties in Spain.

HauntedNoddyCar · 03/05/2014 14:00

I should be ashamed. ODFOD. I will be exercising my right to vote. I'm voting none of the above.

dawndonnaagain · 03/05/2014 14:06

Guardian, who lives where

dawndonnaagain · 03/05/2014 14:07

The thing I love about UKIP voters is how all the figures they are ever presented with are twisted.
At the end of the day, it is a racist party, looking for a popular vote.

RufusTheReindeer · 03/05/2014 14:13

dawn

Did you just call me a UKIP voter??

BIWI · 03/05/2014 14:13

claig - I'm not a subscriber and I could access the link. You have to answer a question first, and then it lets you in

Hullygully · 03/05/2014 14:17

ooo will have to catch up with all this

and hello biwi
