Another thread has got me thinking... I shower every day, usually in the morning. I wash myself with non-perfumed soap. I am not a sweaty or smelly person, at all. However, if I think it likely that DH and I are going to, ahem, have relations, I will usually pop into the bathroom and give my fanjo a wipe with a wet washcloth. No perfumes or wet wipes! Otherwise I worry that it will smell sweaty and just not very good. However, I have always wondered: is this weird or do other people do this?

If I think we may have sex then I will make sure I've had a wee and do a quick wipe over with a baby wipe. Would never interrupt a spur of the moment shag though!

Yes I do, unless I've decided I definitely don't fancy oral. I sit on the loo, soap up, then rinse with a jug of water. After sex I'll always have a pee (to try and prevent cystitis) and rinse with warm water so I feel fresh for round 2 (if there's the chance of one).

Quick rinse, yes, or a shower if I can. I prefer it if the male half will also oblige - have had a couple of Bad Experiences with someone with a long foreskin who didn't wash beforehand. Had to start incorporating a sexywash flannel into our foreplay. Not an issue with dh thank goodness.

Do people realise it's a self cleaning organ? As in it really doesn't like "a good soaping". Men actually like the natural vagina, who on earth would want to go down on wet wipe scented foof? Vaginas done get smelly, sweaty or otherwise dirty unless you only shower once a week and grow flytraps up there. You are actually upsetting the chemical balance unique to the area and designed to keep it healthy and smell free by stuffing wet wipes or soap up there.

ashadow The vagina is a self cleaning organ, the labia and vulva aren't. So there's nothing wrong with people giving it a quick wash to feel fresher. I don't actually shove a bloody baby wipe up there, I give my vulva and labia area a quick wipe with a damp cloth.

Ashadow well I must be a unique smelly twat then coz my groin area (not the inside bits) smells of sweat in the same way my armpits do if not washed and had antipersperant rolled on.

No, I find it makes me too dry. I usually have a bath an hour or two before bed though
