Another thread has got me thinking... I shower every day, usually in the morning. I wash myself with non-perfumed soap. I am not a sweaty or smelly person, at all. However, if I think it likely that DH and I are going to, ahem, have relations, I will usually pop into the bathroom and give my fanjo a wipe with a wet washcloth. No perfumes or wet wipes! Otherwise I worry that it will smell sweaty and just not very good. However, I have always wondered: is this weird or do other people do this?

From a gentlemanly perspective unwashed is preferable (tangier) rather than the smell snd taste of Imperial Leather or baby wipe.

We hardly every have spontaneous sex it bugs me! DP always has to shower first. I couldn't care less!

On a more boring note, can is just remind folk that baby wipes and those flush able wipes are the no. 1 cause for blocked toilets. Also, they don't degrade in the same way that toilet roll does. So please put them in the bin not the loo. Right, as you were...

No not especially, unless it had been a long hot day but even then, id probably have a quick clean / shower anyway regardless of whether sex was likely.

I would never interrupt any 'build up' to nip to the bathroom to have a quick clean.

However I say all that as a happily married woman. When we first dated, I probably did a combination of spontaneous and other times being 'prepared' just in case...

Those of you who don't get sweaty fanjos - don't you do any exercise?? I'm in a GB sports team and can assure you that my fanjo gets just as sweaty as everywhere else!

I never put babywipes in the loo. Did you see that video that Wessex Water made? They got baby wipes and 'washable' wipes and tied knots in them to tie them together and used them to pull a plane.

I'm surprised so many people have a quick wipe with baby wipes beforehand .I can't think of anything less sexy than smelling like a baby's bum.

I have a shower at least once a day and soap all the appropriate bits. That's enough for me. Dh is the same.

If sexytime is on the horizon, I have a wee and use babywipes. Used to be Kandoo but now it's ASDAs own apple scented ones.

Oh yes, after exercise or if it's really hot, but I shower straight after exercise, I don't jump into bed with DH - no energy! When it gets really hot in summer (can be over 30 where we live) we don't often have the energy for sex anyway because even touching someone else's body heat is like torture.

I have a friend with benefits, I always have a pack handy if he comes over. They don't have a strong smell so no giveaway ....

I do give it a clean if I've been hot or particularly stressed during the day and am expecting action. But generally don't bother.

I do not get a sweaty fanjo as I generally avoid exercise of any kind however I won't do it if I'm prickly down there unless he agrees not to touch the prickles and I always make sure I'm clean beforehand. Are men actually bothered about lady garden stubble? My mans not if it means no sex but it bothers me....

Scarlette it bothers me too. My DP doesn't care at all. But I like being smooth, it's my preference so when I'm anything but I don't like it.
