He's just won "personality of the year" why?? I know he won Wimbledon, but even so...

I have never met him..

Lilliput · 15/12/2013 22:02

He is looking strangely good though!!

He changed my opinion of him when he was in the audience for Mock the Week. Just the biggest smile.

I'm sure Andy has a great personality, quite like that he's quite a dry sense of humour when I've seen him interviewed.

MyMushroomsInATimeSlip · 15/12/2013 22:05

I think he's lovely. YABU

Must have missed the episode of "Mock the Week". I think he's a good sportsman, a great tennis player, a really nice man, but doesn't come across as being a big "personality". Why AIBVU to think that?

Maybe the award needs to be renamed "Sports Person of the year".

rootypig · 15/12/2013 22:06

God, he seems to have way more personality than most sportspeople, he seems really funny and dry. And hot. Yabvvvvu.

PacificDingbat · 15/12/2013 22:07

I've come to realise he has more of an interesting personality when I saw a documentary about him just before Wimbledon.

I did expect him to win.

MajesticWhine · 15/12/2013 22:07

YABU. He seems like a lovely bloke to me. But really, it's not about personality is it, it's about, who are we most proud of in sport this year.

Screamqueen · 15/12/2013 22:08

YABU, its just a term really I know he won Wimbledon, but even so.......yeh and that was sooo easy eh?

Pagwatch · 15/12/2013 22:08

If it really was a contest about personality would Nck Faldo or Ryan Giggs or half of the other winners ever have lifted the trophy.

The Murray sniping gets massively on my nerves. He's a great athlete, the lack of a cheesy, coached media presence shoudn't be an issue.

Well I think you'll find he apologised for his boring voice in his speech.

Poor sod won bloody Wimbledon and STILL can't do right by some people!

Pagwatch · 15/12/2013 22:10

Actually 'I knw he won wimbledon but even so' is one of the more irritating things I have ever read on here.

rootypig · 15/12/2013 22:11

Afterthought: personality surely includes things like drive, determination, discipline (not sure why they all start with d Hmm) as well as I dunno, good PR face (which he does now have).

SauvignonBlanche · 15/12/2013 22:12

YABVU, IMHO though I have never met him. Have you OP?

YABVVU! That's all I have to say on the matter.

Lamu · 15/12/2013 22:12

YABU I have a huge soft spot for Murray. I really warmed to him when I watched a documentary on his life and he talked about Dunblane. He seems like a very sincere guy, I can't quite understand why people dislike him.

itsaruddygame · 15/12/2013 22:13

Yanbu. The man has not got a personality. Much prefer Mo.
