4 children 4 dads

One of my close friends is expecting her 4th baby. She is getting a lot of stick from other people in our group of friends, and even some strangers, because the 4 children have different dads.

AIBU not to see this as an issue? She is a fab mum to the 3 she has. What business is it of other people and does it matter?

Oh sorry I thought I was in the caiparinahaha bar thread - didn't mean to hijckwith randomness.

usualsuspect · 04/10/2013 17:40

This thread needed derailinhg.

It's a bloody disgrace.

Reality · 04/10/2013 17:41

It's not a derailment, it's an intervention.

I am going OUT out tonight. In the world. With people.

Best be careful I don';t accidentally end up a 4 x 4 eh?

Yep, what a disgrace.
Mothers. On holiday. Drinking cocktails.

Shall we get back to smug judging and offending vast swathes of society?

Hullygully · 04/10/2013 17:45

I have 7 children with 7 dads and I live in a shoe

When posters have been abused, parents insulted, feelings hurt and vile comment made, I'm pretty sure there's nothing much left to say Zippey - unless of course you have some startling insight that will make everything all better?

No?

Enjoy your night out Reality. Better keep your legs crossed huh? Grin

Perhaps she'll die

SPsTwerkingNineToFive · 04/10/2013 17:50

Ohhh shit! Wrong rhyme but only realised as clicked post! Blush

Right I think I'm off now

HoobleDooble · 04/10/2013 17:52

One of my friends has 3 by 3, there's big age gaps between them though;
1st at 16 (teenage mishap)
2nd with 1st (nobhead) husband in her mid 20s
3rd with 2nd (lovely) DH in her 30s

She's been judged for it, but has been a fabulous mum, and is now a fantastic grandma. She worked hard to support them financially, and emotionally, and they are all really wonderful, respectable adults in their own right.

raisah · 04/10/2013 17:52

LtEveDallass I would like to say that these are not my views, that is what the dr said and she was standing at the side of my bed.

I was just repeating what she said, I am not a dr and it wasnt my place to question her theory. She mentioned something about DNA trace, any drs on here who can explain.

All sorts of things cause preterm birth; I know as I had my ds at 26 weeks.

For some reason the 'I knew an old lady who swallowed a fly' got into my head and mixed with the lady in the shoe.

Now it seems I want people with 7 by 7 and live in a shoe to die. I do not want that Grin

kotinka I was a bit shocked that she was questioning the patient about this in a fairly open ward, drawing q curtain round the bed was useless. She asked about the age gaps between each child, whether she had ever used any contraceptives and if she had ever had an STI test. Needless to say, the room went quiet..

Yanbu it is no-ones business and just because it is not 'ideal' in their eyes doesn't mean it is wrong. Some utterly vile opinions on this thread

SPsTwerkingNineToFive · 04/10/2013 18:08

You know that sinking feeling when you are trying to cancel something posting while knowing all the while it wont cancel? I had that
