I agree what a disgusting and horrid individual. Poor April and her family. I dread to,think how scared and alone he was the last moments of her shrt life Sad

janey68 · 30/05/2013 22:22

You're promoting state sanctioned inhumanity. The kind of 'justice' meted out in some of the countries with pretty despicable human rights records? Hmm

It is absolutely right that he's locked away for life. But personally I'm glad I don't live in a state which sanctions barbaric acts

StuntGirl · 30/05/2013 22:24

What janey said.

makemineamalibuandpineapple · 30/05/2013 22:24

If the DM is to be believed he's impotent anyway but I hope that he has an awful time in prison as that's what he deserves.

I'm glad I live in a country with a judicial system run by people with a tad more inteligence than the op.

suckmabigtoe · 30/05/2013 22:25

Are you up for carrying it out op?

hobnobsaremyfavourite · 30/05/2013 22:26

"bits" Do you mean testicles op ?

AdmiralData · 30/05/2013 22:28

I can think of better ways for the bastard to suffer but a life sentence will have to suffice.

hellhasnofurylikeahungrywoman · 30/05/2013 22:29

What janey says. What purpose would it achieve? Would it bring back April or deter others from doing the same?

minouminou · 30/05/2013 22:29

Whenever something as abhorrent as this happens, we torture ourselves by imagining what the victim's last moments and thoughts were. I like to think that the person had so much adrenaline and endorphins going on that they were not quite "there". The person reverted back to a mindless, atavistic state.
As for mutilating the shitbag.....we're civilised, supposedly.
Hard cases do not make good law.

Kacie1985 · 30/05/2013 22:33

Is that true minouminou? I hope it is.

pigletmania · 30/05/2013 22:35

My goodness can't we just rant wtjout te human rights brigade butting in Hmm. Of course it will not happen but we are entitled to our feelings, or should we all think the same Hmm

Boomba · 30/05/2013 22:36

hobnobs i dont think it is unintelligent to want murderous paedophiles to be made to suffer

I oppose the death penalty, but cases like this really make me think again

Im proposing torturing him, to say what he did with the body

janey68 · 30/05/2013 22:38

What human rights 'brigade' would that be? People who don't share the complete contempt for life that mark bridger had? Hmm

manicinsomniac · 30/05/2013 22:40

Eeeew, YABU

He deserves life in prison which is what he's got. Or what he should get anyway.

pigletmania · 30/05/2013 22:41

Yes mabey. It is my right to wish bad thing on a individual who brutally murdered and mutilated a defenceless little girl and who refuses to disclose we're he has deposed of her body Hmm

minouminou · 30/05/2013 22:41

So do I. It's likely. Very often, if someone's been in an accident, or attacked, and they survive, they say they disconnected from what happened, only feeling scared or traumatised afterwards.
Poor little soul. All we can say for sure is that she's beyond all this now, and that Bridger will never be free or unafraid again.

pigletmania · 30/05/2013 22:41

Sorry Janet, silly autocorrect

KnittedC · 30/05/2013 22:42

YABU. I agree with everything's Janey said.

hobnobsaremyfavourite · 30/05/2013 22:42

"Human rights brigade" try looking at Syria , Iran , Iraq, China and a few others like them and see what happens when "human rights" aren't protected. I have respect for the judicial process and prefer not to live in a country where the baying mob decide what justice is.

Kacie1985 · 30/05/2013 22:42

The human rights brigade have a point I suppose, although I say give Aprils parents half an hour alone with him! Angry

pigletmania · 30/05/2013 22:43

Grrrr got it wrong again

If there is any justice his 'life' in prison will be mysteriously cut short, hopefully not before he admits where the poor little girl's body is.
