When people talk about human rights, they're talking about everyone, and that includes pieces of work like Bridger. He has the same protection as all of us, whether we like it or not. You have to leave emotion behind and think of the law here. It is there to protect and punish objectively.

Yes of course April's human rights were horrifically violated, but this act was committed by one lunatic, who was acting against all reason, all nature, and our laws. We should not do the same, and nor should our instruments of justice.

The title of this thread isn't different to some where OP's wish death or cutting of parts upon their dh's or other men that have done something trivial to piss them off.

Torturing mark bridger won't change that. It won't prevent predatory paedophiles in future.

The one thing that's fairly sure is that is we go down the route of countries which do sanction this sort of treatment, we would soon be living in a society which is far less just, far more brutal and probably with a far higher crime rate. Personally i don't want that.

Feelings of vengeance are quite normal I think.

However, a civilised society is one which controls that and deals justly with people. Otherwise someone will be asking for burning at the stake to be brought back next.

He's been sent to prison so should have to mix with them, let the evil barstard know what it feels like to be terrified as I'm sure the prisoners would deliver their own form of justice to him.

They should also remove the right for prisoners to sue the state for things that happen to them in prison which it what causes this separation nonsense in the first place.

Castrating a paedophile isn't necessarily 'tortueous' anymore then any other op. But it is a way (some say the only way) of removing the sexual urge (or so I read... somewhere... once) I think if you've done it, and your sorry, you should be volunteering to have your balls removed in utter remorse and disgust at yourself!!

Yeah, the feelings of vengeance are normal and I have wished dark things on him myself, it is hard not to. I am pretty sure the OP wouldn't actually condone it being done. I think it is being taken far too literally.

His life will be hell inside & quite rightly so!! I'd still like to see the monster die a slow painful death but I'm an old school non PC person & proud of it!! I don't care if that brings me down to his level, that's my opinion!!

Absolutely the right decision on the judge's part to give a whole life sentence without parole. I don't support the death penalty though I think it would be fitting if he spent his time inside either breaking rocks or in solitary with no tv etc. I also see boomba's point of view though and I think it would be very hard to hold back those feelings if it were your own child.

Of course you wouldn't care if it made you barbaric, it'd be your DD. But the rest of society, and future generations would care, as a return to "old school" vengeance would affect us all.
